Little late to the party but Is there a way to just edit some ini files to allow gene modded soldiers to be able to display the titan armor? Or I have to actually install the mod? Lol thk in advance

Actually yes, sorry for being 2 years late, anyway, if still interested, check Sleeves of Destiny mod, in the description lays a simple explanation about how to do that manually, the problem is the armor deco options because remains the same options you have in the sleveeless gene armor, so, yeah, not perfect solution but a solution

OH MY GOD! This mod is awesome! I am so glad I don't have to look at that dumb sleeveless gene armor. Thank you

Hi, I'm just a little unclear on the instructions in the description. Do I need to use the patchergui to install this , or do I just follow the instructions under the note on that tool?

    Thanks!

If still needed: Use the PatcherGUI. The main file is also named "PatcherGUI..." to avoid unclearness.

      Cheers!

I'm getting a decompressing error when I patch the file. How do I decompress the text file?

Hi, i guess this is compatible with Long war right?, well this issue happens with any other "sleeve editor" out there in the nexus...

I'm not sure if it's on purpose but it turn my kestrel armors into phamton (visually). It's a bit strange to see that low tech armor looking like top-tier-psy gear.

"the issue" is the kestrel armor looks way too advanced for that tier. It looks like a slimmer/lighter AEGIS-TITAN armor... im not sure but in my humble opinion, if you take a glare to the tiers, the banshee armor model looks almost perfect for this "level", so is there a way to exchange those models?

having the kestrel armor(model) use the banshee armor(model) and the same the other way around?.

Can someone point me which defaultcontent.ini lines i have to touch in order to swap them?

I know this post is 3 years old, but I just ran into the exact same issue and was looking to implement the exact same solution. Just swapping those two armor sets.

Did you ever find a way to go about it?

Just came to say thanks, this saved my game. I wasnt going to play with stupid looking armor after gene modding one of my guys and not knowing what it would do. Only had my save like 8 missions ago before the last one :(

I won't lose the ability to gain Steam achievements with this mod, right?

If you're getting the error "Error Patching UPK", try pointing to the Enemy Within directory (folder named XEW), rather than the Enemy Unknown root folder.

Make sure you are installing to the XEW within the Xcom-enemy-unknown file

Thank you. I stupidly didn't think of using the expansion's directory and used the root folder instead.

You mean you broke your game right? It's an optional mod that you chose to download. Don't get sore at the modder cos you didn't do the work and see what was involved.
