About this mod
A simple mod allowing changing the name of all selected ships owned by the player through a right-click action item.
You can add a prefix, a suffix, a numbercount, rename all ships or any combination of those 4 options.

Are you tired of renaming every ship one by one so you can keep track wich ship belongs to which station/mothership? Well, i am! So i used Agentmass mod and extended it.
This simple mod adds a "Rename Selected Ships" right-click action when player-owned ships are selected. Clicking on it will open a new menu allowing you to
- add a prefix
- set the shipname
- add a suffix
- add a count to each shipname
You can leave any option blank if you dont want to it. This will allow you to add a prefix, suffix or count to ships with different names.
Example A:
Assigning 3x Magnetar Sentinel to your "Ore Refinery 3", adding the prefix "OR 3 " (note the space at the end), setting the shipname to "Magnetar S max" ("max" because they have the best equipment) and adding a counter.
-> OR 3 Magnetar S max - 001
-> OR 3 Magnetar S max - 002
-> OR 3 Magnetar S max - 003
Example B:
I captured some ships or got them from missions, but they didn't suit my requirements for fleets or productive stations. So i assign them to my headquarter.
Prefix "HQ " (note the space at the end), leaving the shipname blank, suffix " (temporarily)" (note the space at the beginning), no counter.
-> HQ Boa (temporarily)
-> HQ Discoverer Vanguard (temporarily)
-> HQ Eclipse Vanguard (temporarily)
-> HQ Kallisto Vanguard (temporarily)
-> HQ Teuta (temporarily)
-> HQ Teuta (temporarily)
This mod depends on SirNukes Mod Support APIs.
NOTE: This extension is based on Agentmass mod Rename Selected Ships. I contacted him on 24.10.22 through multiple channels - he is inactive. Therefore i uploaded this extended mod so you guys can profit from it.
Installation:
simply extract the folder in the zip to steamapps/common/X4 Foundations/extensions
Changelog:
v1.20 filename now in lowercase, so that Egosoft can detect the file in every case
