About this mod

Mutes the hypnotic and maddening sound loop in Map mode.

Permissions and credits
Works with 4.xx and 5.00.
Should work with all the game languages.
Compatible with Linux.

If you are not sure about which sound is removed, the game wav file can be DLed from Miscellaneous.


Installation
Copy the directory 'map_sound_loop_mute' in X4\extensions (where the DLCs are placed, not in ...\Documents\Egosoft\X4\extensions (I've read)).

Uninstallation
Delete the directory 'map_sound_loop_mute'.

Doesn't affect savegames. Can be installed and uninstalled with no consequence.


If you want to mod this game to your liking, you need an extractor for the .cat/dat files:
