- v.1.22 puts a comma instead of a space between thousands and hundreds from 10 000 up for those who use the game standard format.
          Ex: 141,176 Cr instead of 141 176 Cr.
- v1.21 puts back a space separator between thousands and hundreds from 10 000 up for better readability (was removed in v1.2 to make the notation shorter but it was a bad idea, imo). Ex: 141 176 Cr instead of 141176 Cr.
         It is for those who use the mod Number Format (141 176 instead of the game standard 141,176).
         If you prefer the comma separator, use v1.22.
         If you prefer 141176, use v1.2.
- v1.2 adds the average prices and the size of Wares container for game v5.00.  Ex: Claytronics (2040/24).
    - Adds the size for primary materials (Ore,...)
    - Removes some spaces.
    - Removes the mention Cr for some items like Advanced Satellite (can be seen on the map).
    - Adds items from v5.00:

This mod is useful...
...in the stations 'Traders' Corners' where you can buy or sell without having to refer to an external source for average prices.
...while searching on the map for the best price to buy or sell with the game 'Trade Filter' system.
The size of containers is a useful info in general and is practical in the Logical Station Overview and for micro-managing freighters cargo.


It would be neater if Egosoft did place a column with the average prices in the transactions screens, though (Traders' Corners, Trade Filter and Stations transaction screen).
The strange thing is that an average prices column is indeed present in three screens (Player's Inventory, Encyclopedia and PHQ Safe Deposit Storage), it is just not the right ones! Typical Egosolf.
As for the size of the Wares containers, they can only be found in the Encyclopedia ( (as far as I know).

The drawback to adding the price to the name is that it appears in all the places where the name appears, even when it is unnecessary or cumbersome.


All the items present in the original 5.00 PRODUCED WARES, INVENTORY WARES and INVENTORY WARES II categories are in this mod file (0001-l044.xml), so you can add some prices if need be. Just open 0001-l044.xml with a xml editor and add the price using the same syntaxe as for other items.

Some items are unchanged:
- If I don't know their average price (Protectyon).
- The 1 credit items.
- SETA: can't be sold (afaik).
- The Seminars. 300 Cr / 600 Cr is easy enough to remember.


Installation
Copy the directory 'average_prices_in_transactions_screens' in X4\extensions (where the DLCs are placed, not in ...\Documents\Egosoft\X4\extensions (although I haven't tried that)).

Uninstallation
Delete the directory 'average_prices_in_transactions_screens'.

Doesn't affect savegames and can be installed or uninstalled with no adverse effect.


For english version only.
Compatible with Linux.


If you want to mod this game yourself (i.e. make this mod for your own language (the files are in 09.cat\t\0001-l0XX.xml)), you'll need an extractor for the .cat/dat files:
