This is a retake on the hidden Dev Pirate start. You start in Argon Prime after being arrested.
You will start with a Perseus Vanguard in the Argon Prime System. That's it! No money, no equipment (well except your spacesuit which was on the ship anyway), no nothing. You don't even know anything about the other races, only the Antigone Republic and The Argon Federation.
That's assuming, of course, that you can escape...
V1.1:
I changed the description in game a little bit and changed the files. Now there is no need to include the macros file (thus making this more compatible with other mods). There was also a bug that even though the models for the player were Male Argon, your employees still referred to you as female (which was/is the sex for the pirate start). Now, the player starts as male (as intended).
I also changed the ship you start in. Now, it really is basic. It's one of the cheapest ships around and with the bare minimum of equipment (you don't even get a shield). Also, the spacesuit has nothing. No, repair laser, no scanner, nothing. I don't think you could start with any less (at least I couldn't find a way in game to start with less).
V1.1a:
OK, this one may be going a little too far. It is exactly the same as V1.1 but your ship doesn't have a gun. I found this start to be fun, but it probably isn't for everyone. I had to fly around looking for dropped cargo or a mission I could do. You can't even do the scanning missions because you don't have any equipment for your space suit. I thought if I could just find some cargo floating around I could buy a scanner for the space suit and complete a few of those missions to get some credits. But, in the end, I found a mission where you transport someone to their destination (he was late for work). This netted me enough money to go buy a gun and start crystal mining.
With this start I don't believe you could start any lower.
Installation:
The usual. Unpack the .rar file and put the folder 'TheBeginner' into your 'extensions' folder in the 'X4 Foundations' game folder (if no 'extensions' folder exists, then create it).
