Cant the Interdiction Satellites be made to target only specific factions or only enemies? I'd love to be able to interdict enemies while letting friendly factions pass through.
Mod seems to be working fine with 7.0 beta. I'm using only adv. satellites for discovering stations and trade updates, I haven't noticed any problems, yet.
Is there a chance to add the option to remove the extra missions from the advanced satellite or something similar? Since it conflicts with Kuertees extra generic missions this way.
Hmm advanced satelite stop spotting stations in system, during one savegame. That function of mod simply stop working after some time. I don't have any other satelite mods
It damages their drives. It doesn't construct a brick wall they crash against. If they were flying at some speed already, they will fly a good distance until they come to a hold. :)
Do basic satellites still have the default range limit? Or do they monitor any (discovered) station anywhere in a sector even if outside the green range indicator?
As the mod name suggests, satellites cover the sector they're placed in. The difference between regular and advanced, as well as the newly added variants is listed in the mod description.
Is it in a sector where you have bad reputation? That the default behaviour is to not send out probes. You can cunfigure that, if you want, in the sectorsatellitesconfig.xml in line 58: <set_value name="$ss_cue.$options.$advSats.$detectHostileStations" exact="false" /> You have to set the false to true.
Dropping satellites from your other ships remotely should work fine. If, however, you may be using a mod that drops satellites for you automatically, that wasn't tested and may not work immediately. The routine that checks for changes in the system every 10 minutes should however utilize them, iirc.
