I just moved to use GemFX for X4 as this uses the game engines built-in shaders thus has near no additional overhead.

- Minimal FPS impact compared to most others, very light on shader count.
- Dark Ambiance. Not another Christmas tree like some shaders with totally broken colour grading
- Colour Pops where it should, and emulates HDR.
- Did I mention Dark Ambiance already? this is space after all
What you will need!
Reshade version 4.5.4 or newer grab it here.

1. Run Reshade.exe and enable Vulkan Global Shader, just enabled it and then exit program zero need to install into a game location or download shader pack!
2. Extract contents of this mod into the root of your X4 foundation directory it should look like this.
3. Start X4 Foundations and Press the 'Home' key skip tutorial and from the drop-down above select Real Space and smash the performance tick box in the bottom right of the Reshade menu then press 'home' key again to close reshade menu.
If you are looking for newer modern option using the games official shaders (near zero perf impact)
