3.0 BETA safe?
Yes, as of 3.00 beta 3 HF1.
What is "Neutral Engine Tints - S ships"?
This mod changes the colour of S ship engine components to more neutral tones in an attempt to make them fit better with the large number of paintmods in the game.
Installation
Extract the archive into 'extensions' in your main X4 foundations folder (where X4.exe is located). If the folder does not exist create it. If you are on Windows 7 extract the archive into your "...Documents/Egosoft/X4/<numbers>/extensions" instead. If it does not exist create it. Afterwards check that the mod appears in 'Extensions' on the X4 main menu and that it is activated.
Alternatively, you can just download the mod from the Steam Workshop instead.
Uninstall
Delete the "axesneutralenginetints" folder you extracted.
Known 'Issues'
The MK3 versions of engines have tiny animated flaps that retain the vanilla colours. They are seperate models and I havent gotten around to doing them yet, I do plan to change them too but this work is incredibly tedious.
Many thanks to Egosoft for X4 and the X games in general!
Enjoy!
