Overview

I personally doesn't like the concept of X Wing defeats ISD.  In that sense, the Vanilla ship balancing has many issues, especially for those unbelievably weak capital class ships.  If I was good at scripting, I could do it in other ways, but unfortunately I am not.  So I have decided to rebalance those in game parameters a bit drastically - bigger ships are far much stronger than before, and at the same time, small ships may have their own values based on their role.

Also, since I am not good at scripting, I designed this mod to be compatible with as many mods as I can.  So, if you are more like bigger ships and using other scripts, this mod would be one of good basis for your new game experience.

Key Changes from Vanilla

1.  Rebalanced Combat Ships

Ships are recategorized as it was in X3 - from M5 to M1, TP to TL.  Combat ships are fully rebalanced based on their size and roles.  Now you cannot simply win against M1 with your M5.

TP to TL are work in progress - Hull and Cargo has been aligned with combat ships, but not for the other stats

2.  Shield redesigned

Now you don't have recharge delays on any of your shield.  And the shields are recategorized as below;

a.  Small
 - Mk1:  1 MJ shield only for M5
 - Mk2:  5 MJ Shield with normal recharge rate
 - Mk3:  5 MJ Military Shield (with x10 faster recharge rate)
 - Mk4:  7.5 MJ Shield for Sentinel Types

b.  Medium
 - Mk1:  25 MJ Shield
 - MK2:  25 MJ Military Shield
 - MK3:  125 MJ Shield for Sentinel

c.  Large
 - Mk1:  500 MJ Shield
 - MK2:  500 MJ Military Shield
 - MK3:  1 GJ Sentinel Shield

d.  XL
 - Mk1:  2 GJ Shield
 - Mk2:  2 GJ Military Shield
 - Mk3:  5 GJ Sentinel Shield

Also, Teladi, Paranid, Xenon, Khaak have their own shields with slightly different status from above Argon's.  Please find above shared document for the details.

3.  Weapon / Turret / Missile  Redesigned

Still work in progress, since I want to recategorize those weapons into its features like Energy, Heavy, etc.  As of now, all weapons are rebalanced, and bigger guns has good enough power to kill small fighters at once.

Turrets are now rebalanced based on the weapons; it now has almost equal firepower with Primary Weapons, and slightly faster rotation speed with slower rotation acceleration.

Also, some of the weapon / turrets are dedicated to Vanguard variations only.

Compatibility

1.  Any mod that remove or rebalance Vanilla ships may not work well with this mod.
2.  Any new ship mod are compatible, yet those new ships may have some disadvantages against the existing ships
3.  Any AI enhancement or Scripting mod will works perfectly, such as Aggressive AI.
4.  Compatible with all languages

Installation

Unzip the zip file to your extensions folder under steamapps.
