Description
Do you prefer to watch plasma bolts flying towards you with tranquillity and inner peacefulness of a true buddhist... erm goner? Do you want to bury the hatchet... I mean the war drums? Or maybe you simply get a feeling that vanilla "drug overdose in an awful nightclub" combat music and you need to part ways?
The standard version of this mod patches "defaults.xml" to remove "music_suspense" and "music_bigbattle" references so that no nasty xenon degenerate or wanted spacedust addict or Richard B. Riddick (escaped convict, murderer) or anyone else can interrupt your peaceful ambience music with his mere presence or his pesky laser beams. Or her. Or its. This mod doesn't care about foe's gender - it just works (unlike many things by Todd).
The lite version removes only "music_suspense" meaning that you will still get fight music when hit by enemy fire.
And yeah, it works with any mod or vanilla game. And I'm also sure no mod or future X4 patch will ever mess with a small section that I've altered in "defaults.xml" so most likely it will work always and with everything. But if, if, if... if I'm wrong about that I will try to release a compatibility update.
Setup guide
- Extract "No_Battle_Music" folder from archive into [X4 root folder]\Extensions\.
- Make sure mod is enabled in extensions menu (usually it is by default).
