This is awesome for the level of customization and options afforded to manipulate sectors.
I cannot figure out how to do one thing. I want to increase the 'scale' of every sector by x2.
That is it. Nothing else. No jobs added. No locations changed. No connections added or removed. All I want to do is keep the map vanilla and increase the 'scale' (distance in which everything spawns apart from each other in sector) by 2.
Hi, the zones determine where things spawn in a sector, but they are not visible in the tool. So for the existing sectors this would not be possible. For custom sectors its possible to adjust the size of the sector, (the zones are automatically created based on this set size). Which isn't the case for existing sectors.
Thanks for your reply! I was hoping to recreate the effects of this mod, Expanded Sectors x2, which is extremely out of date and breaks certain sectors when used these days. Don't like the additional sectors created by other mods, just want vanilla sectors to feel "larger....."
I think you should make some kind of a manual to this great tool. I already add a bunch of a new sectors but don't know much about all the options inside this program
I think i trashed a savegame now. Added a 2 gates -> savegame loads perfect. Did a second try with different location and yaw -> savegame dont load anymore. Only the first (quick and dirty) exported mod works, each other dont.
Is it possible to load/import an exported mod to adjust the gates in/out directions? Is it possible to rescue the savegame?
Maybe there are already ships in the pipeline -> call back all ships would help?
You should be making everything in one mod if possible and use the Export / Import functionality to store your mod json so you can continue editing it later. (there is no mod import support from generated mod files as its too complex)
I am playing with it and I have run into some questions.
First off, what does the setting of security and economy entail when making a sector? I have searched around but cannot find an answer.
Second, is there a way using your tool to add population and/or workforce availability bonus? If not I will add it "manually" and add this to the feature wish list. =)
Economy is used for factories spawning mostly, you can target factories to spawn in sectors with certain economy ranges. But keeping it at 100 is a safe bet.
Security is mostly used in custom scripting afaik, so probably won't have any effect on your gameplay.
Tool doesn't have a way to add population / workforce bonus
Not sure if what's going on; but I assume when it says right-click to move a sector -- it mean right click the sector and right-click a new spot to move it too, right?
But, every time I do it, I get this error pop-up:
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Thanks for the feedback, I've created a new issue on the github page for tracking the status and I'll investigate. https://github.com/Ven0maus/X4SectorCreator/issues/65
Edit: The bug is patched, and will be available in the next release (1.3.3)
You can download them from my github click the Latest Version on the details page here on nexus to go there. (everytime I upload new version on nexus I have to let support validate it so may take a while)
I've noticed that when trying to switch the Gate connection type to Accelerator, it doesn't update. I have made a cluster with two sectors in it, though I can't seem to get accelerators for its connections for some reason.

Thanks for ideas and hints.
-> Autopilot must be disabled (was enabled and targeting one of the edited gates)
I could solve MY prob by editing working zone.xml and sector.xml.

Running the program even says there is a newer version after running it.

There are several more lines of things at the bottom of the error; but I cut them off to be able to post this.
