Disable Heat Mechanics: Completely remove the existing heat management mechanics for the Meson Stream. Implement Fixed Reload Time: Instead of the heat-based system, introduce a fixed reload time of 20 seconds for the weapon after each use.

The heat system in X4 can be quite perplexing, especially when it comes to high-heat weapons like the Terran Meson Stream. Intuitively, you might expect that equipping more of these would significantly boost your damage output. However, in practice, this isn't the case. The game applies a mechanic where each weapon's cooldown time is multiplied by the number of weapons currently cooling down. For the Meson Stream, which has a base cooldown of 20 seconds, this means that adding more weapons drastically increases the cooldown time, making it inefficient—particularly given its hefty price tag. This mod addresses this issue by making the following changes to the Meson Stream:
Heat "Initial" set to 0.
Heat "Value" set to 0.
Reload "Time" set at 20 seconds.
Projectile "lifetime" set at 1.75s for medium and 1.17s for small.
These adjustments make the Meson Stream far more viable and efficient by disabling its heat generation, allowing you to leverage its power without being penalized by excessive cooldown times. However, it's important to note that the UI does not track weapon reload times, so as a player, you won't have a visible indicator of when the weapon has recharged.
