I wanted to play a game start where I am hated by all factions. Since people on stations refuse to talk to me, I had to make this mod to build a pirate empire.
I've been using this for about 100hrs now with no issues.
Features
Ability to scan escape pods to capture crew. Enter scan mode (default Shift + 2) and scan the pod when you are within 300m (default Shift + F while in scan mode)
Reputation will decrease slightly.
Notification report and log entry will be generated.
Pod engines have been powered up to help balance this change. You might need a faster ship to catch up with pods now. 350 m/s
Bugs
Assigning a prisoner as the captain, then attempting to comm the next one in the list seemed to end up getting me the captains number. Workaround: assign the captain last. Pretty sure this is a vanilla bug with the prisoner menu, some list not getting updated on captain assignment.

Getting paid (crew should get paid, even under impressment)
Better piracy (harrass option, your own ai pirate fleets, and more)
Enhanced bailing (npc's bail when fighting each other)
War Pact (You can align your rep with a chosen pirate faction. You can enable the pirate cover system for your player ship + direct fleet subordinates)
