feel frustration to see AI pilot frigate deplete shield by using boost in combat, right?
the cause of the problem:
AI pilot try to gain distance between attack runs, and they are using boost to do it.
it's a good trade for fighters, part of shield for not taking damage that may drain all of their shield,
and fighters can recharge shield pretty fast. but frigates have a lot shield compare to fighters,
using 50% shield to boost away from a fight against a fighter is just ridiculous.
this mod only disable AI(pilot m size ship) using boost in combat when they attack small ships(fighters and other frigates),
which means:
1.fighter combat boost unchanged, I think they are doing ok
2.when attack against capital ships(L, XL and station), frigates will still use boost(probably a bad idea to send them to)
3.AI pilot m_ship can use boost when not giving attack order (flee)
4.player pilot frigate can use boost whenever they want
knowing issus:
"allow boost" still show enabled in attack order panel, just a default setting for UI
install:
unzip, copy to "your\X4 Foundations\extensions\" folder, and safe to remove anytime
