"Today, you found another small package buried near the white rabbit hole!"

      So! I wanted to do that one for a long time and yes I know there are already 2 very similar mods. I respect and salute them, but still, I wasn't fully satisfied while trying those and I knew someday I would have to create my own take for our dear "Emerald of Genesis" sword (which will probably keep staying with us for a long time). The main differences with my mod is that, while of course staying true to the base design, I absolutely needed a better distinction between the sheath and the sword. Then secondly, a blade hue that goes perfectly with the base game resonator power's VFXs also fiting my own rover mod variants. Meaning for instance a yellow blade for rover spectro, a red havoc for danjin, a purple havoc for rover havoc, etc. Also yeah, a steel version for when you want vacation from all those energy textures.

     Let's see a quick list of the changes involved here and then if you have time to read a little more I'll explain my choices.

• Blade part now has several new variants to choose from : Steel, Havoc Blue, Havoc red, Spectro and IceBlue  
• Blade and Sheath materials have been edited so they get more distinct from each other
• Engraved Asian-like writings have been removed from the blade
• Engraved Asian-like writings on sheath now feels more like grooves and goes black 
• The circular metal ring on the pommel has been turned into steel for a more harmonious / realistic look
• Contrast on parts have been rebalanced for more clarity
  

      That mod wasn't as hard as making a full character rework but trust me it was as much as enjoyable when I finished and tested it in final version for the first time. I didn't imagin it would have changed that much my "immersion" and pleasure when fighting. The sword sheath/scabbard almost exclusively built with gold and black now feels really luxurious. At the same time and as a consequence the blade will feels also more dangerous. Seeing rover not laying her fingers on energy parts adds somekind of logic whereas in vanilla you could think "yeah well if she touch that weird stuff then it might be less dangerous than I thought".

     Because the big issue when you have a sword scabbard with very similar colors than its sword's blade (+ shapes going in the length direction) is that there is a chance you will confuse them. Even more when rover use the scabbard to make some hits in spectro alignment combo. This is kind of a rare occurence but I remember I experienced it as well in the witcher 3 with a blade that had a whole steel sheath. That choice is aesthetically never good when those pieces are bigger than rings or basic fitting pieces. Now with my edits you finally know in one quick glance what's what : the sheath or the blade you should not touch.

     As for the engraved asian writings... Listen this is just a big-no for me because I'm an infinite japanese sword enjoyer and usually I prefer their mindset : Austerity and sobriety on the blade (Unless may be it's some magic runes that have a purpose, like warhammer40k or warcraft, etc.). Sheath, pommel and handle are allowed to have frills yeah why not, but the blade? Naaaay. Althought it's a typical thing among chinese culture but that's not my cup of tea. A clean blade looks 10 times deadlier without any fancy stuff on it, I hope you agree with me on this.

     Now my advise if you want to enjoy it at the fullest, take a color option that fits the VFX colors of the resonator that holds the EoG. And in case you are undecided or want the upmost sobriety, the steel version is here to back you up. I spent quite some time to give it nice reflections and a clear temper line, although I'm not sure if that will immediately pop to your eyes!
