About this mod
When your consumable slots become empty, the game will no longer autofill the slots with a food or alcohol item from inventory.
- Permissions and credits
Compatible with 1.32, 1.31 & 1.30 (1.22 compatible version also available in files)Tired of accidentally eating your prized grilled chicken sandwich that you were saving for dinner because—unbeknownst to you—the game automatically stuck it in a consumable slot? Were you spamming the F key in a frantic fight and now all your cow's milk has mysteriously disappeared even though you had it safely tucked away in inventory?
Micromanagers rejoice! Just install this mod and the game will no longer autofill your consumable slots with food or alcohol when the slots become empty. You must, of course, now manage refilling each slot yourself. However, if you are like me, that is a welcome change!
Installation
Extract the .zip to your The Witcher 3\mods folder.
This mod changes the playerWitcher.ws file. I don't think it will mortally conflict with other mods but who knows. However, many mods do also change playerWitcher.ws so you may have to merge this with other mods. In that case, use the excellent tool Script Merger.
This is a very simple mod. All I did was comment out lines 4748-4769 in playerWitcher.ws which is located in:
The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\player
