There are some other mods out there that you can use to achieve a similar goal, but i like to keep it simple and without the need of user input, just a little helper that works in the background...
Just get rid of stuff you sold to your favourite merchant to avoid cluttering his inventory... Automatically removes all items and weapon/armor below a quality of 4, so relics and witcher gear is preserved... The merchant keeps his "normal" stuff, items you sold disappear if you switch to another category (armorer/weaponsmith) or if you close the window. Items you sold before installing this mod are not affected, so you have to rebuy and resell these items if you want a clean merchant ;)
If you like to adapt this mod just look for: //modClearSoldItems
files that were changed: inventoryMenu.ws, PopupData.ws and merchantNPC.ws. Just a few lines of code, should be easy to merge.
I am using this on a modded playthrough and had no problems so far...
feel free to modify/use this mod...would be great though if you would credit me for this idea ;)
