~Overview~
I like the idea behind the vampire gear (the Tesham Mutna and Hen Gaidth gear that you can acquire in the Blood & Wine expansion), but I'm not particularly fond of the stats values that are assigned in the vanilla gear. As such, I decided to make some changes to align with my own vision for the gear:

  • Changed it to Light Armor:  I realize that the armor appears like numerous other Heavy Armor sets in the game. However, vampires are fast, often taking down multiple targets in the blink of an eye. I feel like the magical properties of this armor should respond the same way, despite the appearance of bulk.
  • Increased Sword Damage:  The vampire gear does not contain a silver sword. It is intended to be used against humans. The vanilla stats were weak in this regard. Vampires can be vicious and deadly. Now the sword is designed to do the same. It features increased Critical Hit Chance, Bleeding Chance, and Confusion Chance, all of which are consistent with being attacked by a vampire. I also added the 20% Bonus Experience for defeating humans, which is standard for most other swords of this caliber.
  • Defined Clear Strengths and Weaknesses with the Armor:  In vanilla, the armor protected against just about everything. I adjusted the values to reflect strength against things that vampires are strong against; likewise, I made the armor weaker against things that vampires would be weak against
-Strengths include: 100% protection from bleeding, increased protection against slashing, bludgeoning, and rending, and vitality boost.
-Weaknesses are: fire damage, piercing damage, poisoning, and elemental damage.
  • Distinguished the Tesham Mutna and the Hen Gaidth from Each Other:  In vanilla, the stats for Tesham Mutna and Hen Gaidth are very similar with Hen Gaidth being slightly higher. I changed some of the values to give the Hen Gaidth items a slightly increased edge over the Tesham Mutna counterparts. This now makes them a worthwhile reward for pursuing the Unseen Elder path rather than saving Syanna. Note: includes New Game Plus adjustments as well.

~Optional Add-On Mods~
I made some optional add-ons that can be used with the stats overhaul:

  • Tesham Mutna Red Version  --  in vanilla, the Tesham Mutna gear is only available in black. This mod swaps the gear so that all items will be presented in the blood red color of the Hen Gaidth set. Swaps the armor, gloves, pants, boots, mask, and sword.
  • Hen Gaidth Black Version  --  for players that prefer black, the Hen Gaidth set has been swapped to display in black instead of the standard blood red. Includes all six items of the set.
  • Invisible Mask  --  for players that want the benefits of the set bonus but want to see Geralt's face, equipping this mod will still place the mask in the accessory slot for the set bonus but will make it invisible so it does not cover Geralt's face.

Note: All mods were designed to be used together and can be used in any combination. There are no conflicts amongst them, and prioritization does not matter.

~Features~
Below are features of this mod:

  • All assets in this mod are from the next-gen edition of the game. It is fully compatible with next-gen as well as backwards compatible with classic-gen.
  • If the player chooses to display the armor on the stands at Corvo Bianco, the correct version of the armor will be displayed.
  • All icons have been updated so the correct icons will display in the inventory screens.
  • Designed to be compatible with other mods such as Blood Trails by Scoutbr0.

~Installation/Uninstallation~

  • Manual Method - Download the file and extract the contents into your Witcher3\Mods folder.

~Compatibility~
This mod consists of the following file types:
  • .xml  -  to edit the stats.
