Next Gen Update of Dijkstra's Doppler! I don't have any save that is currently at this stage of the game so your courage and feedbacks will be appreciated! I'm 99% sure the descriptions will be fine, I'm especially curious about the special loots so thank you for your time and support:)

Dijkstra's Doppler Next Gen Edition


1. Introduction:

Dijkstra is one of my favourite characters in the Witcher universe. He always plans ahead and knows exactly what he's doing. He once did a big mistake though:
Underestimating Geralt - A foolishness his leg reminds him of to this day.

So why on earth would he not only admit his betrayal on Geralt's friends but also try to fight him face to face?!
While I love everything else about Dijkstra in this game, this scene feels just completely out-of-character.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you used version 1.0.0 please download the Optional File "Uninstall1.0.0" and install the new version. The new version doesn't have a complicated uninstall routine anymore. (Don't consider on Next Gen Edition)


2. What this mod does:

This mod tries to explain his out-of-character behaviour. The man who tries to kill Roche, Ves and Thaler is in fact not Dijkstra. It is a Doppler!
Why he does that? Who knows? Geralt killed him before even asking so I guess we'll never know.
Is this a cheap solution? Yes, of course!
Is it a better than what we have in the vanilla game? Well, at least to me.

The false Dijkstra now drops a Doppler mutagen and a note has been added in the "Characters" -Section.
The additional journal entry works with German and English versions of the game. (The Witcher 3 GOTY 1.31 for now..)


3. How to install / uninstall:

Install:
Put in modDijkstraDopplerNextGen in ''The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY\Mods'' directory and enjoy:).

Uninstall:
1) Delete the Dijkstra Doppler mod inside your mods folder.
2) Copy everything inside the"uninstall" folder in your Witcher 3 main directory.


4. Known Issues:
The character description may not be updated if you have another mod that edits strings that are already in the game.
The Skill decription of "Heightened Tolerance" gets messed up and I can't seem to fix this.
These notes were written by Karpfenfrosch , I never noticed the second one but I always played in French
Version 1.1 could fix this but this remain a mystery.

This idea was suggested by someone in the forums sometime ago but I don't find the thread anymore
so unfortunately I can't credit him/her for the idea...

I wish someone could translate them in other languages, I didn't have any CSV but I could tell you how to do this anyway (FIXED with V1.1)
MerseyRockoff for showing me where I could get the whole EN.CSV of The Witcher 3 Next Gen Edition, Version now is a single line change instead of the whole en.w3string , which will greatly improve compatibility and now I uploaded Dijkstra Doppler CSV in both English and French for those who would like to translate it in their language. Thank you!

6. Updates:

1.1 :
- Added polish and russian translation (Legacy version only for now..)
- Improved the mod structure, making it easier to uninstall the mod

1.2 :
- Dijkstra's Doppler now drops an additional 'Doppler Trophy'

Next Gen Edition V1 :
- Dijkstra's Doppler now drops Mutagen Overhaul's Middling & Greater Doppler Mutagen and their respective recipes, we only have to wait the official Next Gen Update because I could never share this without permission:)

1.3 : Uploaded a new version made from Patch 4.04a that supports my new mod ; Trophies On The Path. It's strongly recommended for descriptions length consistency. Otherwise, you'll only have one trophy with a very detailed description and the others will all keep the same boring and repetitive "Strap trophies to your saddle to receive a bonus."
