My man Skacik took the mod off the site, but it's back in business with his enthusiastic blessing (quote: "i don't give a single fu‌ck about this game nor the company associated"). Scathing.

With that out of the way,

Go, where no one else dared to.

Offers you the chance to visit the caverns located at the Devil's Pit quarry along with numerous enhancements to the area and other stuff.

ITEMS:
  • Alkaline bomb | Capable of neutralizing most acids, rendering enemies unable to use acid-based attacks.
  • Flare bomb | Contains slow-burning compound that illuminates large areas for around 45 minutes. Capable of burning enemies upon direct impact. The color of its light can be changed via dyes.
  • Fungi bomb | Contains spores of fast-growing fungi targeting the vocal cords of the infected, making them unable to use their voice.
  • Glue bomb | Contains resin-based compound that sticks to enemies, rendering them unable to move.
  • Salt bomb | Useful against spectral enemies, forcing them to take material form.
  • Shrapnel bomb | Crude bomb containing hundreds of miniature shards of metal and glass capable of piercing the wings of most airborne targets, forcing them onto the ground. Whilst the shards are too small to cause any serious harm, they still can be used to stagger opponents.
  • Virus bomb | Contains a pathogen capable of crippling the regenerative abilities of infected targets.
  • Battlemage's essence | Potion enhancing stamina for spellcaster builds.
  • Mule essence | Powerful steroid that temporarily enhances back strength, increasing maximum carry weight.
  • Sworddancer's essence - Potion enhancing stamina for melee builds.
  • Bear trap | Popular amongst hunters, can be used against other targets to great effect.
  • Spring trap | Simple explosive tripwire, deals damage within 8 metre radius - can trigger other nearby traps within 6 meters.
  • Fire bolt | Coated with heavily flammable compound capable of igniting most materials within seconds. Burns underwater as well.
  • Grappling bolt | The hooked end can be used for quick transportation - nearly useless in combat.
  • Throwing knife | Pretty cheaply made - the handle is probably more lethal than the blade.
  • Fine throwing knife | Well-balanced throwing knife - lethal in capable hands.
  • Viper school throwing knife | Throwing knives favored by Viper witchers - sharp and poisonous.
  • Folding chair | Simple in function, can be deployed and left unattended for later use.
  • Invisibility charm  | A magical charm which renders its wearer invisible as long as he moves slowly.
  • Plaguebearer | Cursed sword capable of turning fallen foes into undead servants of the wielder.
  • Raven's armor | Armor that belonged to some legendary witcher or other.
  • Viper school hood | Popular amongst witchers of the Viper school.
  • Shaving kit | Inexpensive, portable - handy for any man of the road.

MORE:

  • 4 NPCs - both familiar and new faces.
  • Complex follower NPC sworn to carry your burdens, help out in fights, play gwent or spar with you.
  • Lots of interactions within the Devil's Pit area: a board for throwing darts, a cooking pot, a new Place of Power, a mysterious gravestone, a teleportation stone and stealth practice dummy.
  • Complete set of stealth mechanics: sneak, backstab, pickpocket or plant live booby traps on your enemies!
  • First person mode is now part of the mod. The new merchant Thaddeus and the Novigrad librarian T.K. Hodgson sell the Mysterious Monocle item that, once equipped, enables the player to enter first person mode via the P key. Hooking can also be done manually via the console command fphook. The help module can also be accessed by typing fphelp in the console, or you can refer to its Nexus page.

Thaddeus | Human alchemist hiding out in the Devil's Pit. Serves the role of a quartermaster in the encampment.

Iorveth | Former employer of the assassin of the kings, now traveling west in hopes of finding a cure for Saskia.

Saskia | Dubbed the dragonslayer, which is ironic for a green dragon, and the daughter of a golden one. Entered a coma after the events of The Witcher 2 and hasn't woken since.

Victoria | A mercenary stuck traveling with Iorveth's band for no apparent reason, can be hired by Geralt for a price.

Throw in some ingredients, cast a bit of Igni (double tap interaction key), and enjoy warm meals from the cooking pot!
  • Egg + pepper + olive + mushroom + onion + pork --> omelette à la Geralt de Rivia
  • Raw meat --> fried meat
  • Chicken --> roasted chicken
  • Chicken leg --> roasted chicken leg
  • (Gutted) fish --> fried fish
  • Pork --> grilled pork
  • Honeycomb --> fine honey
  • Bread --> burned bread
  • Sweet bun --> burned sweet bun
  • Apple --> baked apple
  • Potatoes --> baked potato
  • Onion + bottled water --> onion soup

Test your skills as a warrior against a mirror copy of yourself! The summoning stone located near the burning pile of corpses will summon a doppler wielding your exact equipment and skills, with the Plaguebearer as your reward for defeating him.

A mercenary contract can be bought from Thaddeus, which will oblige Victoria to follow and serve Geralt for as long as he has it, leaving only when the contract is dropped or stashed. Victoria is capable of:
  • Carrying your equipment
  • Playing Gwent at a pro level
  • Having a friendly sparring session
  • Changing into an alternate outfit
  • Using knives in combat
  • Looting non-quest items from defeated enemies (automatically stashed)
  • Carrying a torch in caverns or at night
  • Wearing a hood for protection from the elements
  • Equipping the best available steel sword in the player's stash

Hold left CTRL to enter/exit sneaking mode.
All enemies turn neutral and get debuffed if the mode is initiated before combat begins, opening them up for a one-hit backstab.Base NPC view cone is up to 55 degrees to the sides (total FOV of 110) and 20 meters forward, measured from the position and rotation of the head. The parameters change depending on time of day, location and weather.
Moving makes you easier to detect, whilst wearing the Viper hood and/or Raven's armor makes it a bit harder for enemies to see you.
During the night or in poorly lit places, both detection angle and distances decrease dramatically unless the NPC is carrying a torch.
Brushing up to an enemy, being seen, throwing a bomb, using explosive bolts or casting Aard/Igni will cause instant detection.
Killing an enemy will cause surrounding enemies to turn in his direction.
Entering the borders of their current perception range will highlight NPCs as "alerted" and make them look in Geralt's direction for 5 seconds. The on-screen vignette will also change color to white with increasing intensity as likelihood of being detected rises.
Stealing is also limited only to enemies and only works while undetected.
Each stealing attempt may blow players cover if initiated from too far (and at the same time if you touch the enemy,
it will alert him as well) so you want to be as close as you can without actually touching the enemy.
Spring traps can be planted on enemies and are set to explode after 10 seconds.

If Iorveth's or Saskia's faces look weird, go to Documents\The Witcher 3\user.settings, find [Rendering] and set the value of MeshLODDistanceScale to 4 (add the variable yourself if it's not already there). Save the file and set it to read-only.
