   testing latest cat does not seem to work, I am confident I copyied the txt modifications correctly and mod folder as well.  no script error when using scriptmerger.  I assume there is supposed to be some kind of notification it is active.  I am using metamorphasis as my skill, though it is modified to be available at start.  Tested outside in skelige around 10pm in game.

   confirmed working the key I used was sticky and didn't activate.

   I get this error, maybe you made a minor mistake in script ? can you pls check this out.

      error shows leftover from previous version of the mod
      just uninstall, install and remerge scripts

   it works on 1.32, but every time I turn on the witcher's senses, night vision always turns off and I have to turn it on again! hmm?

      delete all mods for 4.04 including this one
      can use only mods for 4.03, not for 4.02, not for 4.04

   Hi, when i press the button, a sound is played, merged files is done, but no night vision.

      Maybe you have 2 versions installed: anytime and cat
      Use only 1
      
      Sound just means you don't have Cat refilled

      I have the same problem when I use Night Vision Button Cat with Slow Motion Button mod. I've only installed these two mods in the game and merged them. Night Vision Button Cat mod doesn't work even with or without merging, I only hear the activating sound but no night vision effects. I uninstalled it and tried Night Vision Button Anytime instead and it works perfectly for me. However, I still like the idea of Night Vision Button Cat. Great mod anyway.

      I only used 1. After Night Vision Button Cat didn't work for me, I uninstalled it and installed Night Vision Button Anytime instead and this version works fine. I only have Night Vision Button and Slow Motion Button and no other mods in the game by the way.
      
      PS: Sorry for the mistake on my 1st comment, I meant the Cat version doesn't work, Anytime works fine for me. I've fixed my earlier comment. Hope that makes sense.

      Did you have refilled Cat potion?
      NVB Cat uses "error" sound when you don't have Cat refilled

      It works now. I had to refill it after the potion's effect is over or add more potions for refillling. I can activate and deactivate while the porion is still in effect. Sorry for the misconception ealier. Thanks for creating the mod. Great work.

    I'm using Next Gen 4.01 on Steam and the mod works for me following by the book what is said in the description page :
    If you want to install manually
    

    
    
    • Unpack mods to game dir
      
    • Copy contents of input.settings.txt to the top of <User>\Documents\The Witcher 3\input.settings
      
    • Copy this line (I had to delete the brackets at the beginning/end of the code cause it was messing the post) = copy the code from the presentation page of the mod
      
      

    Var builder="Input" id="NightVision" displayName="keybind_nightvision" displayType="INPUTPC" actions="NightVision"/Var


    
    to <Game>\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\input.xml(somewhere inside <VisibleVars> ... </VisibleVars>)

    Note that you'll have then to go in the game key configuration, at the bottom and select a key to activate the mod.
    
    Testing the mod : once playing, press the key you've chosen once and you'll have night vision and press a second time to deactivate. Have fun
