About this mod

Summer is gone and autumn has arrived!

Permissions and credits
Autumn on the Pontar is a preset for ReShade which aims to give the player the feeling that the game is taking place during the fall. The lush green coloration of the Temerian wilderness has been replaced with the rusty reds and burned oranges that the season is known for. You can imagine Geralt catching the scent of baked apples and cider in the air as local farmers tend to their harvest. The temperature is starting to drop as well, which means it's time for longer sleeves, a full beard, and to begin making preparations for wintering in Kaer Morhen.

Installation

This mod requires the ReShade application. If you already have this installed then you can skip this section. If you don't have ReShade installed for The Witcher 3 then all you need to do is visit https://reshade.me/ and download the executable. Once downloaded, run the exe, click the big button to select a game, and navigate to wherever your Witcher 3 game is installed and select it (for example, my game is installed on the following path: \steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64). Then click on Direct3D 10/11/12 and check all the boxes for shader packages on the next screen.

1. Once ReShade has been installed and you've downloaded this mod, extract the archive into the games directory. There is only one file in the archive - Autumn.ini.

2. Run the game. If you've installed ReShade properly, you should see a menu pop up once the game starts running letting you know it's installed. Go through the tutorial or skip it. Note that the default hotkey to toggle ReShade menu is Home.

3. On the ReShade menu, click on the dropdown at the top. You should see Autumn.ini in the list of files in the dropdown. Double click it to load the preset and hit the home key to close the ReShade menu and you're all set.
