    Improved Installation Instructions
I found the installation instructions very unclear. I know that every modder here takes it for granted that people know to move mods into a \mods folder in the game directory. But even so, the instructions for this one seem straight-up wrong. If you followed them literally, you would overwrite the entire \bin directory, resulting in missing data!

    Why is this mod different?
Most mods unzip and contain a single folder called <modNameOfMod>. But when you unzip this one, you will see two folders: "bin" and "mods." You need to install them differently and separately.

    Instructions for "bin"

    • double click "bin"
    • double click "config"
    • double click "r4game"
    • double click "user_config_matrix"
    • double click "pc"
    • You will see a single file, "ConvenientLootingRedux." Right click this file and select "cut."
    • Navigate to the folder on your PC where the game is installed. Then, click the same folders as shown above in steps 1-5.
    • You will now be in the "pc" folder and will see a series of xml documents, like "hud," "hidden," and "gameplay" (among others). Paste the file from step 6 here.
    • You are done. This process ensures that when you press "select" in-game and go to "options," that you will see an option, "Mods" with a further option for this Loot mod.

    Instructions for "mods"

    • double click "mod"
    • You will see a single folder, "modConvenientLootingRedux." Right click this folder and select "cut."
    • Navigate to the folder on your PC where the game is installed.
    • Double click the folder "mods." If you do not have a folder "mods" in this location, right click anywhere in the folder, select "New Folder" and name this new folder "mods."
    • Once you are in \mods, paste the file from Step 2.'
    • You are done. This process installs the mod features themselves.

The mod is working, but i can't find the options menù. Playing on 1.32 ("old gen").
I know it's working because i see the loot from multiple sources.
Any clue why or how to access the options? This is the only mod i have installed, so i didn't use the script merger. But, as i said, it's working...

EDIT: i found out the issue. Playing in a different language (not english) the options are invisible. You can still access them but you have to select an empty text box.

    Guys
This mod is technically fully compatible with Next-Gen
You only lose herb area looting, but instead you get herb fast looting with hand animation

LootPopup.ws was not changed in Next-Gen

    Hi!

I've got your mod (and a few others) installed on my Next Gen game and i'm not seeing the Mod menu in Options or anywhere. Is it possible I've missed something?

As it stands I'm not able to loot multiple sources at once. If I stand directly between two plants, for instance, with either being lootable, I have to loot each separately. So I'm not even sure the mod is working, unless I've misunderstood what it should do.

I used AeroHD's Autoloot previously, which was great, and unless I'm mistaken your mod should do pretty much the same thing?

I'm using Vortex by the way.

    Cheers!

Did you add the ConvenientLootingRedux.xml to dx12filelist.txt? It works for me. (Except the herbs but for that the mod needs to be updated.)

      It's not Next Gen Compatible!!

Worked mod doesn't mean it's Next Gen Compatible. Only if the vanilla files hasn't been updated!

And this one it's a script mod! Obviously it require to update!!!!

I just tested it with next-gen and most of it seems to work. Looting corpses and containers works for me. Herbs not because next-gen version lets you loot herbs without menu. Not sure about bugs but will update this post if I encounter them.

I am not sure but it works so maybe you installed something incorrectly? Interesting how only herbs work for you then haha. Can you see the mod menu?

    "Installation:

    • Unzip and drag & drop everything into your Witcher 3 main directory
    • Use Script Merger "

I just wondering... So without the use of Script Merger this mode can't make it to work?

Assuming you play on Classic 1.32. Because this mod is not Next Gen Compatible and you should use it until the author update it.

So for you question, you have to use Script Merger anytime you install, update or remove mods.
      In short, yes!!

I stumbled upon a workaround to the next-gen update broken herbs issue.  If you install the Loot in Combat mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/5683), it has the unexpected side effect of turning herbs back into containers that work with Convenient Looting Redux again :-)  Loot in Combat has an in-game configuration menu, which defaults to both the loot in combat and loot glow features disabled, so if you don't want to use those features, leave them off and just install the mod to get herb looting working again.

Convenient Looting Redux and Loot Combat are bot Next Gen INCOMPATIBLE.
Don't try to use them in 4.0 version. They need to update.

Hi, what a nice mod! thanks for this... have you been able to verify the increase in volume when picking up several items? With headphones, more than 8 items break my eardrum.
