Thanks!  Not looking like it.  Unless the community does it.

The thing that worries me is the next-gen version coming later this year.  I hope they don't change the file structure or anything else that screws up 6 years of mods.

true. I hope that some visual things will get fixed. I hope they will increase the low LODs and the short render distances of buildings foliage and NPCs. But I don't want to have to play without mods I already see as 100% essential. No Levels, Friendly HUD and other similar mods for example.

      foliage, just increase above ultra.
IDD toussiant can be used (works best on GoG)
NextgenLOD and besserwisser helps too. NPC, not much to do.

I tried IDD but the reqierements for it almost always breaking my game. And trying installing it on a fresh and clean TW3 has not the effect I thought it would have. The struggle with IDD just isn't worth it for me.

My first experience with TW3 was on Xbox, followed by PS4.  Over the last year since I got into modding, the console versions are unplayable.  That's what worries me about the next gen upgrade.  If we get increased resolution, draw distance, load times, etc, then that will be great.  But if it breaks all our mods, it will be just like playing on console.  I could play the upgrade on my PS5.  If that's the case, I won't be upgrading.  I can't live without my mods.  I run about 180 of them, and I consider them all essential.

Thank you!  Unfortunately it won't take it away from a Fail if you already failed it, but at least it should help to cut down on the opportunity to fail it in the future.

Thank you!  This one was surprisingly not very difficult.  It was the first entry in the phase, so I didn't have to go looking for it.  All I had to do was find another quest to replace it with.  Took me about 10 minutes of looking through the phases tied to the Isle of Mists before I found one that was suitable.

    Well done again!

The timepoint of doing Berengar's Blade quest was also an internal discussion aspect in my PM contact with one of my friends. Explicitely told him to provide that before leaving Kair Morhen at this according phase there.

      Thank you!

Yes, it's weird that it doesn't technically fail until the Battle of Kaer Morhen.  It probably should fail at the point you go to Isle of Mists.  But fixing the spawning of the chest was much easier IMHO than altering when it would fail.  Plus, if you've already gotten the chest and talked to Vesemir, it still allows you to go fight the chort and complete it after Isle of Mists but before Battle of Kaer Morhen.

Yeah, weird is also the quest level choice by CDPR. It confuses the player. The quest is feasable at the time when the chest is found and spoken to Vesemir (at least in my LFT balance, and that is merely way harder than vanilla).

Ironically, one of my friends (konyme) is working on a fix for several of the quest levels right now.  Looking forward to that one.

The "problem" with such a mod is that diverse mods which change the balance somehow, can't be considered. However, such mod alone based on vanilla quest difficulty can improve that aspect, and is the only way to make such a mod quasi properly. While the vanilla balancing is not what a non-casual W3 player wishes ;)

As for Berengar's Blade quest, the quest level should be set to something between 19..23, no matter what the monster level is, that lingers in the cave (which is pretty high). That way, the player gets the "hint", that it should be done prior to the KM battle, which is level 24.
