FAQ ================= 1. "Is it compatible with HD Reworked Project/another texture mod? " YES! I recommend using both mods and giving HD reworked priority - that way you get a base of 4k textures and the other mods' nice textures.
2. "Is that pixilated light reflection in 1st image a bug?" NO! It’s actually vanilla. (If you look at the first comparison you can see it)
This is great, I hope you'll find time to continue this work.
I actually think this is a better approach than HD Reworked Project because he created a bunch of new textures that don't necessarily look better but just have a higher resolution. With your mod we can keep the vanilla (and better looking) textures but now with higher resolution.
I've used the Enhanced Graphics Settings mod to enable the 4K textures and it works fine.
For anyone wondering: the new textures are visible but like with any texture-upscaling mod it becomes only really noticiable at higher resolutions (1440p, 2160p etc.).
Any plans to include armor textures aswell? I've done some texture upscaling myself for a few armors and it works surpisingly well. Although I didn't use any fancy AI method, just good old Photoshop.
I also like rfuzzo's work here, but to say HD Reworked Project is worse - you didn't say it that way, but meant it -, is simply not true. HDRP textures don't just have higher resolution, in MOST cases they also look much better and more detailed.
2k/4k texture resolution is important even if you play at just 1080p. It's not to do with screen resolution, it's to do with the size of the textured object on screen at any given time.
e.g. a wall with a 1k or even 2k texture might look reasonable from a distance, but as you get closer the apparent quality will break down as the game is forced to 'zoom in' on it. Replace the texture with a highly detailed 4k version and it'll handle you getting much much closer without losing any visual quality.
it's a similar effect to trying to 'blow up' a photo to a bigger size. If you have a decent camera with a high pixel count then you'll be able to get a high-quality large print. If you've taken that picture with a 2 megapixel digicam and try to make the same size print, it'll look all blocky and lacking in detail.
I'd love a version of this mod for characters! Something akin to 'Improved Character Faces' but instead of all the weird changes that mod makes to faces, just upscale their vanilla textures. And their clothes would be a nice touch. Your mods look awesome btw, can't wait to try them out in my game!
Please i want a reworked NPC Faces Mod. there are 2 mods i know about but im scared to download them becasue some say they cause bugs in the animations
It has probably nothing to do with this mod, but since it is the only Wyzima specific Mod i have ill ask it here. In the first time i visit the royal palace together with Yennefer many NPCs seem to be bugged. They are floating over the floor and have no proper animations. Is it a normal vanilla bug or what could cause that?
Hi... love the look of your mods... gonna be downloading the clutter pack later... just wondering... is this material covered by HD Rework? On the clutter pack you mentioned not many were copies... how is it with this? Even if only some textures are improved it would be worth it... just wondering.... cant wait to check this out :)
Cool mod. I'm not sure exactly how to install this whole thing. There are 3 parts? W3 Mod Manager is easy to use but this one doesn't seem straightforward. What are the installation steps?
Currently, I have all these texture mods installed: HD Reworked Project 11.0, Ultra High Definition Project and HD Monsters Reworked mods. I set HDRP as the highest priority (among the texture mods).
Thx for reply! Such as some pub scenes in game, the pottery bottles and carved mugs have terrible texture. As well as the rag and suspended grain in markets or vellige pubs, besides, most creepers on the wall. I have patched over 200 mods, so I know the items in game that none ever retextured before! XD
An improvement for the small objects and articles in the game would be GREAT! The guy before me talking is right, the mugs, bowls and other small objects (especially on tables and in taverns) look terrible in Vanilla and there is not a single mod improving on them. That would be awesome if you could do something about that "issue" :).

I wonder why HDReworked doesn't touch those...
due to conflicts with many other mods

the three parts are independent of each other. you can pick which one you want.
the only thing you need is a mod that enables 4k rendering (I linked some mods in the description for that) :D
