Installation:

1. download ReShade 4.x.x HERE
2. manually download the reshade preset from the "files" tab on this page
3. put the reshade preset file in your W3 install directory where the ".exe" is, ex) D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\x64
4. install ReShade, it'll ask you where, navigate to the same directory as above and choose the W3 executable file and install
5. when it asks you which .fx plugins to install, choose:
       - AdaptiveSharpen
       - Levels
       - MXAO
       - Sepia
       - Technicolor
       - Technicolor2
       - Vignette
6. run the game, when in-game, press "home" on your keyboard to open up the ReShade menu, at the top of the menu select the preset dropdown and choose "XVII ReShade". go to the settings in that menu to dedicate a key to turning ReShade on/off to see the differences between base and preset.

optional - the .rar comes with two versions, a preset with MXAO and without. MXAO is a type of ambient occlusion which helps add depth to a scene, it does take a bit more processing power, so if you would like the color correction without the MXAO, simply use the "no mxao" preset instead.

Works with lighting mods such as STLM.
