1.0.3 Switched the main mod to +2 skill points, all buffs and 5x buff duration. Fixed the file names, they should all work properly with nexus manager now.
Uploaded a +2 version. Fixed the extra folder in the filepath for the +5skill version.
If anyone knows how to get nexusmods to stop adding ridiculous filenames, please let me know. I uploaded a file named 'modPlaceOfPower5SkillPoints' and it changes the name of the file after download and install with NMM to modPlaceofPowerTweaks-PlaceofPower-5skillpoints
Also, if anyone has figured out a way to reduce conflicts, let me know. i have some more additions i want to make, but i dont want to upload another 4 files.
This mod, at least one of the variants, seems to have an inconsistency bug. I chose to use "All buffs and 5 skill points", and it only worked properly the first time: it awarded me five skill points and all the buffs. Thereafter, every visit to a place of power awarded only ONE skill point and not five. I continue to get the buffs refreshed... I think; they might simply be carrying over from the first use, since I have the ability that makes those buffs permanent.
I haven't yet looked into the code, but I'm only days new to the game and may lack the skill to determine the cause.
I'm certain that I received only a single skillpoint on that initial occasion, but since then I've been watching and verifying its behavior, and I am unable to repeat that behavior. Apparently it affects the first use of a stone after installing the mod, but is fine thereafter.
There is another repeatable issue, though: there are many storyline quests, both in the original game and expansions, which for some reason spontaneously cause the removal of ALL the stone buffs at once. It's not that they were expiring during the course of the quest, because I had the Gorged On Power ability active at all times. It's directly caused by the scripting of the story quests and how this mod interacts with them. It forces the player to revisit a stone after these quests to restore the buffs. It's less than ideal, and I have no idea why it happens other than knowing this mod plays some role in it.
Just wondering - is this mod deprecated? (i.e. no longer in service) Current ver at 1.12 and questions seem unanswered (no offense intended to the modder - these are all gifts, after all).Just wondering if people are still using it ;-)
