I'm not sure I've ever tried to do inventory stuff in combat before, but now that the idea is in my head, I'll keep this mod on to make sure I'm not tempted to cheat. Gotta prepare beforehand like a proper witcher! Good stuff.
Edit: This mod makes it so that I cannot select bombs in the radial menu. If I start a fight with the torch equipped (let's say I get surprised by an vampire guarding some witcher gear underground), then I can only change to the crossbow. I understand not being able to scroll through all your bombs in a fight, but having to make sure they are selected as your secondary beforehand seems like a bit much.
Having the same issue and it's actually serious IMO, you can lost fights because of it. Well, I always chose bombs as my secondary BUT I still can't switch from crossbow to bombs using the radial menu (gamepad) during combat. So I'm not sure if this is a feature or a bug. I really like this mod's philosophy (preventing me from abusing my inventory) but when I can't chose my already selected bomb, it's quite problematic.
What does this mod change in the r4.player file? I have to many mods that edit this file and when I'm in game combat this mod doesn't work. Was wondering if I can make the change this mod makes myself?
This mod is small but makes a huge difference to gameplay and that's why it is good. Cheers for the creator. I got a question though
Why is script merger mandatory for this and any other mod? what happens if I don't have it? and Is it impossible to play the game through GOG platform after I add script merger? If it is possible, please let me know. Thanks
Check the script merger description. Script Merger doesn't change your game install in any way, it just adds one more mod to your /Mods folder (a mod containing the merged files of your other mods). GOG runs fine.
I'm a heavy Witcher 3 modder and I love your vision for a more immersive, logical play experience. I haven't played through the game yet, but I'm adding ones like these as I don't think you should be able to access your inventory, eat, drink, etc during combat. It's your admirable modding prowess that not only increases enjoyment, but stimulates creativity throughout the medium.
