I installed the mod as required and turned off the Yennefer DLC costume at the same time, but Yennefer disappeared from the game. I haven't installed any other mods except this one, so there should be no conflict issue.
For me it seems like no dress/outfit mod does not work. I have also installed some eyes and face mods and they work perfectly, only outfit mods are the issue
Its becasue how the game is configured, Once you alter a texture file for that character (IE your eyes and face mods you have) you CANNOT download a seperate mod to alter the character again like this (Black dress mod) without it conflicting or overriding, you gotta choose one or the other...is having both possible? Yes you just need to get around it by tweaking some files and lines of code, and if you dont know how to do that try asking a modder to create on for you
I am not sure why that link (Black4 Hair) was given, the hairs on that mod are great but are not similar at all. The one from this mod is included in the file. The subfolder is called 'modyenneferalthairs'. You can use this mod with or without it. I actually prefer it without the hair file and just using her vanilla hair. For me, when I have the included hair file active it kinda bugs out her hair. I guess the best way to explain it is that the mod hair doesn't seem to replace the vanilla hair, but instead just closely hover, not quite attached to the skull. The result is kinda a mess. To be fair, it's probably some kind of conflict on my end, I just haven't cared enough to troubleshoot it.
And what needs to be done so that Yennefer and Triss have costumes of different colors? I just installed a mod on Yennefer, and it turned out that Triss has the same one, and I would like to put another mod on Triss
Thank you Apzurv for making this! As soon as I saw this dress for Triss I wanted it for Yenn (in black actually) so this is perfect!! ENDORSED!!
I read through the other comments and saw a handful of questions and problems so I figured I take a sec to share what I learned about this mod while troubleshooting it...

As Apzurv stated under install instructions, don't forget to turn 'Alternate Look for Yennefer' OFF under the main screen menus downloadable content - options. (Even though this is the dlc look for Triss, it replaces the vanilla look for Yenn) *Side note - you do NOT have to have the 'Alternate Look for Triss' ON to make this mod work, you just have to have the dlc downloaded.*
There are 3 subfiles/folders within this mod, each do a different thing: 'modyendlctrissdressblack' -- This is the main file, you HAVE to activate this in order for the mod to work! 'modyentrissdlctexturesv2' -- This is what changes the color of the dress to black. You do NOT have to activate this file but if you don't the dress will be the default color of green. 'modyenneferalthairs' -- This is the file that changes her hairstyle to what you see in the mod pictures. You do NOT have to activate this file, in fact I choose not to. As I stated in a response to a previous comment, the hair was bugged out for me. (I have NOT tried it but I imagine if you like this hairstyle -and it works for you- then theoretically you could put this individual file into TW3 mods folder and have this hairstyle active regardless of the outfit.)
I personally use The Witcher 3 Mod Manager (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2678) to add most of my mods so I can confirm it works with that. After I add it to TW3MM and set the priority, I go into the TW3 game mod folder and either deactivate (or entirely remove) the files I don't use, such as the hair. Adjusting mod priority generally seems to easily fix any conflict/clipping I've encountered. *SIDE NOTE - I am using Steam GOTY v1.32, so I can also confirm it works with that.*
All clothed 'appearances' (gown, travel outfit, hooded) seem to look the same way- at least for me. If you are having an issue with pants/boots from the vanilla travel outfit clipping through the legs use console command -- appearance(yennefer_gown)-- and it should remove any issues. Freecam and Debug Console for 1.32 Patch (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3574) is what works perfectly for me.

!!This mod is essentially a LINK to the dlc appearance for Triss!!
Meaning, if you use the 'modyentrissdlctexturesv2' file (which changes the dress black) the dress will also look black on Triss. On the flip, if you do NOT activate that file, and instead use a mod like- Triss Red Dlc Dress (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/3409) - also by Apzurv the dress will follow that color scheme of Red/Silver on BOTH Triss and Yenn.
You can also use this link as a way to 'mod' this mod for more than just a color scheme change. For example, if you aren't a fan of the headband/tiara that is attached to this outfit you can use the mod that was meant for Triss to get rid of it on Yenn as well. Optional file - Triss DLC Outfits without Tiara(https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/4018) (I have not come across a mod that removes the barrette too but I'm interested if anyone wants to share the info!)
I think my favorite unexpected side effect of this link is that it's not restricted to the dress itself, but rather to the alt appearance for Triss. Meaning, if you use a mod to change Triss's dlc outfit AND have the 'modyendlctrissdressblack' file active, you are ALSO going to be changing Yenn into that same outfit when her alt appearance is turned off. Example: Triss DLC Outfit Remodeled (https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2480) This mod changes Triss's dlc dress into a short sleeve shirt and adds pants & boots (various options available). Whatever you choose will give a cool new outfit to Yenn!
I know this was a lot of info but I hope it helps someone! I've uploaded a few photos (currently waiting on author approval) to show off how great this mod looks in game and a couple of the bonus 'features' you can use it for. LINK to the same photos in case the author is no longer active.https://imgur.com/a/fqjrlaQ Happy modding!!
I'm a little late to the party, but does this mod replace her default look too, not just the dress she wears every once and awhile? Because she always wears it in my game when I only want her to wear it during the times she wears her default dress in vanilla.
Is there any chance to make this mod separate with Triss? I mean, I would like to have this mod applied to Yen, but I want to apply another mod for Triss dlc
