Thank you to everyone who voted and endorsed the mod. Honestly did not expect such an overwhelmingly positive response

We are officially the Mod of the Month for the Witcher 3 for the month of June. We hit 300 endorsements! A nice milestone.

New update is up. Reports on performance are welcome.

Blood and Wine version needs an update to work with Next-Gen.

in your Requirements section on the description page it lists "Foliage Distance >2.4 Mip-Bias <0.6" but in the main description it says "I recommend Foliage Distance <2.4 and a Mip-Bias >0.6" .. which is the exact opposite. Which one are you recommending?

      guessing it should be: foli dis >2.4  , mip-bias < -0.6
afaik we need minus mip bias for sharper textures. i set mip-bias to -0.5 and not lower tho, to avoid performance hit

Does this mod work without Tweaks?

Tweaks only enable hidden settings. While HD Tree edit directly the texture in order all LOD level are identical.
They can works together or not. But it highly recommend if you have high-end PC.

I installed both mods along with Ray Tracing - Ultimate. The visual I achieved was fine, but somehow my DLSS was disabled. It simply says "DLSS is not supported" in my graphics setting, and I think it's Tweaks' doing. Not that I can't play without DLSS, but it just bugs me.

Tweaks does nothing at all with DLSS.
I even have a GPU that support DLSS and it works with Tweak installed.

So it's probably because your GPU doesn't support to use DLSS.

No, I run a rtx 4090 + i9 13900k system and had DLSS on before, but after I installed the three mods above, DLSS is somehow not supported anymore. If none of these mods disables DLSS intentionally, it probably has something to do with my installation. I'll try to figure it out.

Do you know changing what file might disable DLSS?

EDIT: I fixed it by reacquiring some files after verifying file integrity via Steam. Still don't know what exactly was causing the problem, but it looks like all three mods work fine. Thank you.

Do not use with NEXT GEN. Buildings in Toussaint keep disappearing in front of my eyes.

It's... a texture files. It should not affect buildings at all.
Are you sure you test it with only this mod?

Yes, deleted the mod and issue is gone. There are no merged conflicts. Maybe it conflicts with Tweaks mod somehow. This bug happens when you move around, objects appear and disappear at certain distances

What you describe is the LoD (Level of Detail) and the Occlusion Culling. This is an engine feature that hide or downgrade texture at higher distance to save performance.
And this mod simply unifies all the different level of detail into the best quality.

Also, HD Tree LOD only contains texture.cache, which Script Merger cannot read them to detect conflict.

Still looking great in the next-gen version (really only noticeable on the really far away trees).

First thx 4 this. But I'm super confused about that Foliage Distance <2.4 Mip-Bias >0.6. I mean I looked through the posts and it appears our supporter thought that he's got those numbers or notations wrong and said he would changed it. However a certain point after January 2020 ( the last time someone mentions a Foliage Distance >2.4 Mip-Bias <0.6), our supporter changed it back?

Yeah, I’m also confused by this statement. According to the required tab in description, the mip bias should be below 0.6 and foliage distance above 2.4. Although, If you scroll further down on descriptions tab, the author told you to set the mip bias above 0.6 and the foliage distance below 2.4.

On further note, does changing the foliage distance below 2.4 will not make the mod works? Or is there a disadvantage of turning it below 2.4.

      Thanks in advance.

This mod makes some of the far off objects, like the tower of Novigrad flicker when you're looking at from far away....any ideas how to fix that? Also, the big oak tree in the distance flicker when viewed from a great distance as well as some of tree billboards......I have no mod conflicts with this mod....any ideas how to fix that? otherwise great work!

It’s a vanilla bug. Not caused by the mod.

It's definitely caused by this mod, I turned the mod off and the flickering stopped.

      It's vanilla bug.
I played  vanilla over 300 hours.
Faced flickering distance tower and some trees sometimes.

I confirm it can be caused by this mod in certain situations. Would make an on/off comparison if I had time to waste.

I am having the same issue. Looking towards Novigrad from a distance, makes every building/tower flicker like crazy!
I am on a new install of the game (didn't have a problem with the mod with my previous install), but before I used Phoenix Lighting 7 Mod, whereas now I went with the newest version of Immersive lighting 2.2. It is weird but could it be a missing setting value somewhere that I didn't follow correctly with the mod? *EXAMPLE Before-After shots*

EDIT**** Tested again without the mod, It is still there. :(  It seems like it is a vanilla issue as FaramH said. Does anyone know a solution to this? It is so frustrating especially the fact that this issue now exists in my new game installation, but on the old one there was no such problem.

      Come on people
It's vanilla W3 LOD at its finestly worst (this and the rendering of grass literally next to you), this mod has NOTHING to do with it, i have done 2 playthroughs with it in both base game and expansions and there isn't even a single bug

      From my testing:
This mod is the cause of this issue, although it doesn't occur instantly. It takes time and maybe chance for the glitch to occur but it will only occur with the mod enabled.
I could be wrong, however, but I have never seen the glitch with the mod disabled.

Just a shoot in the blue, but the flicker could mean that the memory for the distance LOD is on its limit. The mod use bigger sized textures after all.
