This mod replaces Regis's hair with the model used by the Nilfgaardian chamberlain, Mererid, from the beginning of the game. Other men throughout the game use this hairstyle as well. It is generally used by gentlemanly, middle-aged characters (Nidas from Black Pearl also uses it), which is why I thought it would be a good fit for Regis.
This mod aims to create a more lore-friendly Regis, as it stated nowhere in the books that he was balding and had gross sideburns. These are the two main descriptions of him given in the books:
This mod was majorly inspired by the work of Alejandro Colucci for his portrayal of Regis on the cover of Tower of the Swallow UK/English translation, and the remastered version that he posted to his Instagram @alejandrocolucciart:
The screenshots feature the use of the Regis no sideburns mod by zirealxx, which in my opinion is one of the best mods for TW3 and should be installed with this mod, because those sideburns are as equally hideous as his default hair. Though if you really prefer, you can install this mod without the no sideburns mod by zirealxx and it should work completely fine. I am also using Vampires Have No Shadows by DJ_Kovrik, and it is compatible with this mod.
If you're wondering what mods I am using for my Geralt in these screenshots, they also feature the Lore-Friendly Witchers mod by DazzlingDjangoand unfortunately, I do not remember where the headband mod came from, I looked through my download history on Nexus and it is not there. EDIT: Big thanks to hertores for linking the headband mod: [Mod Request] Geralt Leather Headband by cemkey (download). No wonder I could not find it in my download history on this site, it was never on here!
Full disclosure that this is my first mod ever made, so there could be a bug or two -- but I have played Blood & Wine with this mod, and it does not seem to have any issues. There will only be incompatibilities with mods that also change Regis's hairstyle.
EDIT 1, 4/7/19: More screenshots added to the images section, featuring Regis's weird bat face.
