0.9b has been released. It's a small patch that simply addresses most of the issues reported by the community after the release of version 0.9 last year so they won't go to waste. It took me a while to set up and re-learn all the modding tools after 11 months but I'm glad I got it all working again in the end. This is definitely the last version and community reports are officially closed. Any future reports will be ignored so please don't bother, there's just too much wrong with the maps to fix it all. As always have fun. :-)
Quite a cool idea! - I must ask, would this be compatible with other mods that interact with the map, such as the All Quest Objectives On Map - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/943 --- and the Fast travel from Anywhere - https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/324 I've had some issues with map compatibility with this mod in the past??
Don't worry, this is because WMF doesn't require the blob0.bundle and metadata.store files that need to be merged, it only contains the texture.cache file that in itself only contains a few JPG images that aren't bundled with anything else for the updated maps so there's no need for merging. As stated in the compatibility section the only mods I know of that change the map textures are - E3 HUD (not compatible because it always takes priority and has different map style) - and Old Style Map (creator tries to include newest version of WMF every now and then so you don't need this; needs to be merged because it changes the region selection map)
thomaszuur. My reply answer for the same question to Dutrox. Don't let you be the fool here.
It's not if this World Map Fixes mod is Next Gen compatible or not. World Map Fixes is inside the Next Gen patch. Like a permanent installation alongside HD Rework Project, HD Monster, Nitpicker's Patch, FCR3 and Realistic Cinematic. Having them in Next Gen is a waste of time....
TL;DR: You don't need to use World Map Fixes on Next Gen 4.0X.
AlexandreKanha The Next Gen update integrates some popular mods: HD Rework Project, HD Monster Rework, Immersive Real-time Cutscene, FCR3, World Map Fixes, and various bugfix mods. In that list, only HDRP, HDRM, IRTC and FCR3 are (or will be) updated to improve further more the Next Gen version.
So don't install World Map Fixes, because it is now part of the vanilla game.
I guess they made both maps (map texture and the world itself) at the same time but both got updates from time to time. I think that they might have had two seperate teams working at these maps since both are prety large. and what we have now could be the result of some misscomunitation between those teams here and there from time to time that just summed up and left more bug in the game then both teams thought. Or this was planned and in terms of immersion and mideavelish cartographers this map texture was a relatively accurate world map. But yeah, if you have the habbit on focusing more on the minimap then on the actual world, like i do, this mod is kinda necessary.

Is there a way to fix this?

Why reading is so hard to you!!!
BTW - doesn't work for me :/
And the answer is "Of course no! why would you install something that already part of the vanilla?!"
So it's compatible to all languages.
Must I have Heart & Stone to download this without any problems? :)
Thanks!
