The idea for this came to me while listening to the original Witcher theme on YouTube and I thought "What would the main menu of a remastered version of the original game look like?" The aim of this mod is to make the main menu of Witcher 3 look more like the menu of Witcher 1, with a new W1 inspired background video, UI style and the original theme playing.
Requirements & Info:
You either need the standalone game with both DLC installed (e.g. Steam GOTY) or the GOG GOTY edition (both patched to either 1.31 or 1.32) for this mod to work properly.
The standalone/Steam version replaces only the Blood & Wine menu as those versions of the game don't cycle through the menus at each startup. The GOG GOTY version is bigger in file size because it replaces every one of the three menus so only the Classic Menu will show at game launch.
You can also choose between two versions of the menu for each game type, one with the UI being redesigned to look more like the original Witcher 1 menu and another that keeps the vanilla W3 UI style.
Installation:
Choose one file according to your setup and liking (Steam/GOG - Full/VidOnly) and copy the modClassicMenuVERSION folder to the Witcher 3 mod directory, for example "\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\mods"
