This mod power up Starting Armor (and crafted Starting Armor), Starting Swords and Starting Crossbow with a strong leveling up of STATS, RESISTANCES and SPELL POWER of your character.

Hello again beautiful community of Witcher 3!

It's time for a new update...

thanks to mine job and shubh47 a newer version of this mod is now available!!!

Is an old story waste your time trying to find the stronger combinations of armors, weapons, crossbow and Roach saddle + bags.
Now we can focusing in our job: slaying monsters!!!
This means that we have properly defined this Starting set fully, complete and may follows you for all the chapters of Geralt chronicles.
Let see together what is changed:

Version 1.3:

This is the new leveling set for Standard and Grand Master Edition**:
  Geralt Gear : 
- Swords (steel and silver) leveling up*
- Armor leveling up* 
- Crossbow leveling up
 Roach Gear :
  - First Saddle (
worst one) have now ability of Devil's Saddle (Gaunter O'Dimm gift) and looks green like a witcher gear
  - Zerrikanian Bag looks green like a witcher gear

Optional file:
- Download the Enable Demon Eyes Effect file to change Roach appearance in a Devil Horse comes from Hell!!!
This file may have some conflicts with all mods that change Roach appearance. 
Instruction: copy and paste INSIDE the mod folder.

Ok, these are the values that increase stats of Starting Crossbow for each level:

The Starting Witcher Crossbow
  • attack power 0.0442     
  • armor reduction                     0.172
  • human exp bonus                    0.001    
  • nonhuman exp bonus              0.001                
  • critical hit chance                    0.0017
  • critical hit damage bonus           0.0015
  • focus gain0.0017

!!!You can choose between Standard or GrandMaster but don't use both versions together or mod doesn't work!!!

!!!(All GM versions require DLC HoS and BaW installed)!!!
*****I suggest to put the game's difficult from Blood and Broken Bones and over.*****
!!!KNOW ISSUE!!!: when game starts from the beginning, from an old save file and/or in NG+, is VERY IMPORTANT that you respawn all object using console commands (check the list below this description)
of Leveling Set (especially in NG+)... if you don't, may find problems like put runes on slots, or on NG+ bad definitions of all tiers Wtchers Schools.

You can still use older versions of mods if don't want a leveling of crossbow
  

Version 1.2

The GrandMaster Leveling Starting Armor & Swords:




              
- Starting Armor has the GrandMaster ability of Wolf School Armor.
(i.e Up to three different oils can 
be applied to a sword at a time. Bombs are thrown without any delay.)
-Starting Gloves have the GrandMaster ability of Bear School Armor.
(i.e When a Quen shield shatters, there's a chance a new one will be cast at no stamina cost. This chance bonus increases by 5% for each piece of the set. Damage dealt by abilities involving the Quen sign is increased by 200%.)
-Starting Pants have the GrandMaster ability of Griffin School Armor. 
(i.e After using stamina to cast a Sign in standard mode, the next Sign cast within three seconds will be cast without using up Stamina.
The size of Yrden traps is increased by 40%. While you are within an Yrden trap, stamina regeneration is increased by five per second and Sign intensity by 100%, and damage is reduced by 20%.)

-Starting Boots have the GrandMaster ability of Cat School Armor. 
(i.e Strong Attacks increase Fast Attack damage for five seconds by 10% for each piece of the set. Rear attacks deal 50% more damage, and also stun opponents at the cost of one Adrenaline point.)
-Crossbow has the GrandMaster ability of Manticore School Armor. (Vesemir's gift on 1st Gryphon Quest)
(i.e Critical hit chance and critical hit damage also apply to bombs. The maximum number of charges for each alchemy item is increased by one)
-
Starting Silver Sword has the  Special ability of Aerondight but it preserve appearance of "Teaser" or "A Night to Remember" or "E3 Presentation", depends which version you choose to download. 
(i.e Each blow generates charges which increase sword damage by 10%. Charges are lost over time or when receiving damage. A fully-charged sword always deals critical hit damage.
Killing a foe with a fully loaded sword will expend its charge to permanently increase the weapon's damage. Damage is increased by: 0 to a maximum of 10 - increasing along with your character level.)

-Starting Steel Sword has the
 Special ability of Iris(Olgierd Sabre) but it preserve appearance of "Teaser" or "A Night to Remember" or "E3 Presentation", depends which version you choose to download.
(i.e Weapon charges with energy during combat. When it's color changes to red, a strong attack will release this energy in an extra powerful strike, at the cost of part of the attacker's Vitality.)
-Roach Gear The First Saddle (Worst One) and horse bag (Zerrikanian) have been upgraded and are now a witcher gear


KNOW ISSUE: THIS MOD GOING IN CONFLICT WITH OTHER MODS THAT DOING THE SAME THING (LEVELING SYSTEM).

IF U FIND ANY PROBLEM TO ADD RUNES ON SLOTS, JUST RESPAWN ALL OBJECTS USING CONSOLE COMMANDS (CHECK THE COMMANDS LIST BELOW - crossbow and horse equipment commands included...)
!!!....also, if you already have the armor and swords, to take the effect in place you must to re-equip every single one of them: that's means that you must remove them from slots and re-equip them!!! 


The GM versions have same stats increase (check below) like standard version + abilities of all GrandMaster Witcher's Schools

GM SCHOOL VERSIONS AVAILABLE
:

ALL THESE MODS LEVELING UP and ALL SWORDS have a cosmetic replacement and Aerondight and Iris abilities;
Starting Crossbow has GrandMaster Manticore School abilities, but, has not (still) a leveling up; Horse Saddle and Horse Bag are Witcher gear now with stats of Zerrikanian.

Now the mod works even on
 NewGamePlus Mode (also the runes slots on Swords and Armor)
IF U FIND ANY PROBLEM TO ADD RUNES ON SLOTS, JUST RESPAWN ALL OBJECTS USING CONSOLE COMMANDS (CHECK THE COMMANDS LIST BELOW)
First of all Geralt has, like on vanilla game, 25% resistance to poisoning and bleeding even without the armor.

If you choose a "
LESS VANILLA VERSION" mod, Geralt has these resistances WITHOUT ARMOR at 0%

NEED TO MERGE IT WITH ALL MODS THAT MODIFYING  GERALT STATS 
("gameplay/abilities/geralt_stats.xml" - Example: Over 9000 - Weight limit mod)

Mod install instruction:
- For mods from "A" to "F" download first Promotional And Trailers Wolf  Swords and extract on The Witcher 3\Mods\ folder, then download my mod, extract and put it on The Witcher 3\Mods\ folder.
- For mods from "G" to "O" version download and extract on The Witcher 3\Mods\ folder.

Ok, let's check together what stats I've changed:



Version 1.1:

!!!!!! NEW STATS FOR BOTH SWORDS !!!!!!
!!!!!!All buffs of SWORDS will be increased for each level!!!!!!



The Starting Long Steel Sword:

  • Slashing Damage                                            increased by 8.7 points
  • Armor Piercing                                                increased by 5.65 points
  • Critical Hit Chance                                           increased by 0.25 %
  • Critical Hit Damage                                          increased by 1.2 %
  • Bonus Exp from Humans and non Humans    increased by 0.175 %
  • Chance to cause Bleeding                                 increased by 0.2 %

The Starting Witcher Silver Sword:

  • Silver Damage                                           increased by 10.77 points
  • Adrenaline Point gain                                  increased by 0.25 %
  • Critical Hit Damage Bonus                     increased by 1.2 %
  • Critical Hit Chance                                     increased by 0.3 %
  • Chance to Cause Bleeding                           increased by 0.275%
  • Bonus Exp from Monsters                increased by 0.45 %

I took in consideration stats of Manticore and Wolf Grandmaster Swords at level 40....at this level Starting Swords are pretty similar (even a little stronger)


!!!All resistances of armor set increase when they reach 10 and after this point every 5 levels!!!

The Starting Armor not crafted: 3 Runes slots

The "armor" stats will be increased by +3 points for each level

  • slashing resistance          increased by 0.5% 
  • piercing resistance          increased by 1% 
  • bludgeoning resistance    increased by 1% 
  • spell power                     increased by 1% 

The Starting Armor crafted is more interesting (XD): 4 Runes slots

The "armor" stats will be increased by +5.11 points for each level

  • slashing resistance                 increased by 1.5%  
  • piercing resistance                   increased by 1.5% 
  • bludgeoning resistance           increased by 1.5% 
  • elemental resistance                increased by 2.2%  
  • spell power                            increased by 1.5% 
  • monsters damage resistance     increased by 3.2% 
  • burning resistance                increased by 1%
  • poison resistance                     increased by 1%
  • bleeding resistance               increased by 1% 

The Starting Armor Parts (Gloves, Boots, Pants): 3 Runes Slots

The "armor" stats will be increased for each level by:
+2.1 points for Gauntlets
+2.13 points for Trousers
+2.2 points for Boots


  • slashing resistance            increased by 1% 
  • piercing resistance            increased by 1%  
  • bludgeoning resistance      increased by 1%  
  • spell power                      increased by 1% 

I took in consideration stats of Manticore and Wolf Grandmaster Armors at level 40....at this level Starting Armor is pretty similar (even a little stronger)

Hi guys, I've edited the stronger version of this mod....

I've fixed the problem that has afflicted the resistances parameters. Previous version doesn't change at all % resistances; I've also added some new resistances (bleeding, poison, burning resistance and shorted time for stamina regen)

U can choose from 2 different mod:
-E3 Leveling Starting Armor Vanilla 
-E3 Leveling Starting Armor PTWS (requires installation of
 Promotional And Trailers Wolf  Swords mod)

-Vanilla mod: all parts of this set icons, looks green on inventory just like any other witcher school set, with 3 space to add runes stones and works on 1.31 and GOTY version. Silver and Steel swords aspect have no changed. 

-PTWS mod: Identical to Vanilla but I've changed the aspect of Starting Silver and Steel Sword with the rappresentation of this pic.


For all these two mods both swords leveling up just like the armor set.



Just to be sure and to avoid any problem use WitcherScriptMerger before launch the game.
