Best lighting mod for Toussaint so far. More realistic than vanilla and still can feel the warmth.

Exactly... Incredible how a "little try" edit like this is better than all other Toussaint in Nexus...

This one on the top of clear lightning and brighter interiors is perfect, for me.

You, good sir, have saved my life. Almost gave up B&W on my second playthrough because of how awful lightning looked on my new laptop... Thank you.

Very nice mod and thanks for the tremendous effort. Endorsed.
I do however notice that the reflections of sky/sun/clouds are oversaturated, e.g. clouds that are only slightly yellow have orange reflections on water which is very unrealistic.
Would be nice if the author could find a way to reduce the saturation of certain reflections. Other objects like trees/rocks are reflected nicely, only sky/sun/clouds reflections feel way too colorful and unnatural.

Edit: Sorry I didin't make it clear, I found out vanilla Toussaint already had this problem, that the reflections become oversatuated, but due to the overall yellow tint it's less noticeable, now that the yellow tint is removed, this becomes more pronounced. Could you fix it?

oh i really cannot go back into all that modding but i think i remember why it's like that.
the reflections show what toussaint actually is. what destroys the yellow tint in clouds is the fog, which is far more present in this than any other area of the game. reflections probably don't show the fog to save performance, which isn't all that noticeable in say novigrad, but here it looks pretty ugly.
a fix would be making the clouds white (which is way more of a pain in the ass than it sounds like) and then probably modifying the fog a bit to fit in with those changes.

sorry for the late reply, and i'm pretty sure no one ever will see this, given that this little env edit is pretty much obsolete nowadays, but ohwell

Thanks for the info, that explained a lot of things. Now it's kinda weird to me that CDPR made the decision in the first place lol.
Let's hope maybe some day you or others will pick this up again and fix it, just maybe =P
      Have a nice day!

Yes, this is the only Toussaint lighting mod I can use (others exaggerate certain colours too much, too much daylight or not enough, and indoors are too dark). It would be fantastic to get the couple of areas left out included in the lighting mod, and a couple of other fixes mentioned above. Too bad you left modding. Thanks anyway.

It's a shame that this lighting mod was never properly finished. Although it's the best lighting mod for Toussaint, it has an overall harsh/cold tint, and the skies and water look more turquoise than blue. However, Reshade can give the vegetation a more natural colour, and an overall more balanced colour pallette.

Use Vibrance from Reshade with the following settings:
    Strength: 0.150Red: 0 Green: 2.5 Blue: 1

Btw., Lumasharpen (or another sharpness filter) is needed for the Toussaint map (since the game's own sharpness function is deactivated here), also Reshade SMAA works better than the ingame AA. I also strongly recommended using Clarity (Reshade), with Soft Lighting set at 0.550. It makes the sligthly flat 2015-lighting come alive, and no other general lighting mod is needed (never found one I liked anyways). Obviously, a lighting mod for Toussaint is a must.

I agree it's the best lighting mod for Toussaint and it's ashame its not been finished.
But I would argue that this is the only lighting mod that makes the vegetation a realistic colour, the rest/vanilla makes the grass too bright green.

Does this work alongside with WLM? I can't seem to make it work, sure the game run but my toussaint is not looking like your screenshots. I also don't think it changes anything, still the same lighting.

    Oh my god...thank you!

This is such a welcome addition, the moment I set foot in that place It felt that it wasn't a Witcher game anymore, too childish, happy and blinding.

In fact I would love to see a darker and gloomy version of this mod, to make Toussaint fit the game even more.

Just to add a dissenting voice,

This looks great but Toussaint was always supposed to look different, to the rest of the game area's, because it was so geographically far away.
This mod makes the area look like, a very nice version of, everywhere else.

It takes away the area's uniqueness.

That all said I'm still gonna give it a go, just to see how it looks with my rig

Well, then why bother with Toussaint lighting mods at all? Just play the game as is...duh. :S A lot of Witcher 3 players aren't particularly fond of the weird visual choice CDPR made for the Toussaint map, and finally we have a lighting mod that actually works well.

It still looks completely seperate from the rest of the game. It still looks really warm. It just looks a little more eh.....realistic? It really reminds me of rural Mediterranean Europe in the summer. Believe me it is still a very unique location!

You make a good point. I agree the colour profile for this mod is a bit "off" - it's too harsh, and has overall slightly too much red. Also the water colour is turquoise, not blue, and the mod lighting doesn't work in certain parts of Blood & Wine. So an update/final release for this mod would be most appreciated. Still it's the best option available, the other Blood & Wine/Toussaint lighting mods out there are not very good IMO.
