I never really liked having the Aerondight on the Steel slot when playing W3EE, I prefer having a steel sword + Aerondight as my silver sword.
I don't know much about modding, all I did was change a few lines of code from "playerWeaponHolster.ws", "r4Player.ws" and "def_item_weapons_relic.xml" from the W3EE mod. Used this as reference.
