Is it at all possible to make a version of this that only disregards white/common quality weapons? I'd still like the chance to find some blues and yellows (since they very rarely wind up being strong), but have absolutely no use for the common drops.
You can easily make that change yourself. Just go to line 576 where it reads "inventory.GetItemQuality(ids[i])<4" and change the number 4 to 2 (as item quality 5= witcher gear, 4= relic gear etc).
Don't forget to re-merge if you have other mods installed.
I like this mod and use pretty much all of the LOOT mods for next gen. One thing I think would improve this mod is adding a few repair kits to some opponents that used to drop swords. Swords are more scarce sith this mod, so you’re really just using your best sword all the time - repair costs aren’t cheap, especially in a loot economy, and repair kits are kinda scarce too early on.
This would also give you something when slaughtering a pack of bandits/deserters, rather than half a dozen completely empty corpses. Maybe 1/10 or so could have a repair kit?
Hi Partoutatix, I need a bit of help as I cannot imagine playing this game without your mods anymore, and I use most of them, cannot thank you enough! About a question I'm truly hoping you can answer, I really would like to exclude a raw meat from a lootdrops or at least significantly reduce the chance it drops, so making a food supplies much harder to accumulate before the battle. I remember I managed to include pelts and hides as drops by tweaking those lines (thank you!!!), could this be achieved in a similar manner as well? Oh I'm playing on v1.31 still.
It's a interesting mod at least, I spent much time looting ( it's a obsession really ) and I'm tired of carrying around loads of garbage just because I don't feel it right to leave it behind. XD I'm concerned about one thing, will pelts disappear from the loot boxes and animals too? I often use those to dismantle / craft armors and swords? Thanks for you efforts it's much appreciated.
"I'm concerned about one thing, will pelts disappear from the loot boxes and animals too?" With nojunkweapondrops, no. With nojunkweaponandnojunkyjunkdrops, pelts disappear from animals, not containers. It's not like you can't get hundreds of those from containers to begin with.
Thank you for a quick response. Yes, I tested it and it works exactly as you described it, no misguides there and it's a very useful mod. I saw someone asked about sword tiers loot tweak, I changed the cap from a relic to magic. Yet i wonder, is there a similar way to move pelts from a " junk" category to some other category, just curious? XD
This line tweak works excellent for rabbits, wolfs, bears etc. but no matter how many deers elks and does i looted i cannot get anything else but fresh meat. Is this intentional?
I'm playing still on 1.31 and i cannot process how i didn't found this gem earlier, endorsed. XD
I stand corrected. This mod works perfectly fine. If you cannot find a key, then it is because you have run away from the fight, so it is a vanilla bug.

itemIds = inventory.GetItemsByCategory('edibles');
for(i=0; i<itemIds.Size(); i+=1)
{
if(!inventory.IsItemQuest(itemIds[i]) && inventory.GetItemName(itemIds[i]) == 'Raw meat' )
{
inventory.RemoveItem(itemIds[i]);
}
}
