Basic Information

This mod brings you a new armor set resembling The Witcher 2 action promo armor as seen in official concept art and trailers.

It's a full proper DLC now and does not replace vanilla armors anymore. The old versions that replace
manticore armor are still available if someone prefers them and they still have as requirement for the BaW Expansion to be installed.

To get the new armor visit Yoanna at Crow's Perch.
Alternatively, you can use the below console commands:
additem('W2 Dragonscale Armor')
additem('W2 Dragonscale Pants')
additem('W2 Dragonscale Gloves')
additem('W2 Dragonscale Boots')

Tested on game version 1.32 GOG GOTY.

v2.0 Update
1. Added alternate (extended) appearances for no-gloves and no-boots
2. Added fully functional Witcher wolf medallion that does not clip
3. Small fixes and tweaks for gloves and boots
4. Added custom icons for the new items
5. Added custom text strings for proper names for the items

v1.5 Update -> Big thanks to skydoespoint for this initial DLC work! Check his amazing and huge Shades of Iron DLC Content Pack!
1. Mod became a DLC
2. Polycount multiplied by 3x

3. Textures upscaled to 4k
4. Weight paint polished by hand
5. Textures polished in Substance
6. NG+ support

v1.2 Update

1. Edited the torso mesh to make the shoulderflaps rounded.
2. Reworked torso diffuse and normal maps.
Overall torso colour is darker. The leather patch on the left shoulder now appear like actual treated leather.
3. Added 4K diffuse maps for torso and pants.
4. Reworked normal maps for extra depth and detail. Come in 2K size now.
5. Better specularity for the kneecaps.

v1.1 Update
1. Better, less saturated overall colours.
2. Reworked pants diffuse and normal maps.
The pants now appear like actual treated leather with darker colours.
The kneecaps are full of scratches, darker, and a lot less shiny.
3. Better specularity for the boots.
    Darkened flaps colour.
    Eliminated the purple hue.
4. Added more depth and detail to the bracers and the gloves.
The effect is subtle yet pleasant.
Bracers' spikes are now somewhat brighter.

Installation

  • Download the latest main file (v2.0) and extract into The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\dlc folder.
  • If you prefer to use the older (pre-v2.0) versions, then you will need to extract into The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\mods folder.
  • There is also an optional patch file now that removes the Autogen/Autolevel feature from the armor in case you got some weird item/gear/armor leveling mod combination or something. No guarantees it will work as intended though as it is only an afterthought and can't accound for all mod build variations (that's why the Autogen feature was added in the first place).

Uninstallation
Delete the dlc or mod you downloaded from either The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\dlc or The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt\mods folder respectively.

Incompatibilities
The latest main DLC file (v2.0) has no incompatibilities and is the RECOMMENDED version.
The older files (pre-v2.0) will conflict with everything that also modifies the Manticore armour.
