Awesome work! Could you possibly do a variant using the ulfhendinn lycan model by chance? I think it would be better using that model because it compliments so well this version of werewolf:
Hm, might be just my end here, but when I installed this mod (Rage version) I couldn't do the quest with Mordvarg (you know, the werewolf from Lofoten). Dunno why, but when you kill him using your mod, he disappears leaving behind normal stuff from werewolfs and you cannot talk to him as body disappears. Happens ALWAYS. Deleted mod, game worked fine, reinstalled it again as now hate how vanilla ww look LOL. Great work! Hoping to see the pre-rage to rage version in the future :D.
FYI, you cooked all "n" WorldNormal/NormalmapGloss/CharacterNormal/CharacterNormalmapGloss (it's one of those for sure) textures as WorldDiffuse, which is the wrong-type compression and it would also get rid of alpha/transparency channel if any were added/used to the original image. Not sure if that is done on purpose, but I know that it sometimes causes corruption of normal textures (not in this case though).
EDIT: It can also degrade quality. I was working on particle textures and noticed that the image uncooked was not identical the one I imported * cooked, then re-cooked it as in vanilla (QualtyColor type) and it was much better, so those texture types do matter.
Is something new still in the works? The original Rage version, is hair growth controlled by the w2ent files included or are they necessary for the meshes to function properly?
I don't work at it for the moment. But I plan to go back on it and release a new version. I already started working on a new version some months ago, but it will take some time because I will do all from scratch again.
I can't answer your question about the hair. It was coincidental, that it grows back when entering the rage-mode. So I don't know, why or how.
Hello everyone. This strange bug happens to me with the textures of the body. Someone would know the solution?. Any help is welcome. Thank you very much.
Ths means, that the uv maps are not aligned. What mods do you use? If you use any texture mods, that alter the werewolf texture (like compilation) they could cause the problem.
Thanks for your attention. On your question I do not have the mod compilation installed, it could be the HDReworked mod?. When I get your mod to work correctly, the objects redesigned by HalkHogan disappear and vice versa.
Is the last sentence a question? I use both mods and have no problems. What mods do you use? Could you write a list with all texture mods? And use scriptmerger to see, if there are conflicts please... Try giving the werewolf mod priority over the other texture mods.
Thank you again for your attention. In the end I solved the problem. Your mod was not responsible. I fix it by unmerging all the mods. By the way the only texture mod I have installed is Realistic Contrast Textures
hey Gregor. first of all, thanks for your amazing work. big effort here. keep up the quality work man. always appreciated & loved your mods like better fx & this.
i've a request if you don't mind. i'm fan of the creation of Griffin. i like fight against the griffins a lot.
if its possible, could you please make a retexture of Griffin to match the E3 2014 gameplay demo footage? its skin tone & fur are different at E3 footage. besides, it has blue fur (also tropy fur) on the retail game which i don't like.
Thank you man It is possible. Should be quite easy to do. But I would suggest you to try the monsters recolored mod. It includes a retextured griffin. If you don't like it, I could do it. Making the für darker/nearly black is very easy. The body texture.... I don't know, I can't see it clearly.
Additionally you can use darker gryphon fur. http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1518/? It is inspired by the E3 demo. So that's all you need, I guess
yeah i know those mods but my request is a bit more specific. don't wanna install all 3 seperate mods just for Griffin & Arch Griffin texture. also it'll be cause the texture limit which is not good for me.
i'd like to get dark black fur & trophy fur for Griffin & Arch Griffin too actually. and some recolor of skin tone & retexture if its possible. so i only want to 2 things for these 2 monsters & all these features in one mod. all in one package. hopefully i've explained it better now.
ok i've done it. so i've installed your e3 werewolf (slim) , monsters recolored, darker gryphon fur & darker gryphon thropy fur. merged them with Mod merger & its all good now. (it was something that i tried a while ago and didnt work for some reason but it works great now.)
i think the only archgriffin needs retexture & darker fur. its tropy fur too. if you could do this, would be good. but its hard to do, just forget it.
one more question. you've 2 versions of the E3 werewolf. so which one should i use for the immersion & closest look to the E3 ?
Nice to hear. I could try to retexture the archgriffin, shouldn't be too hard, I guess.
In the end, it is your decision what you prefer. I personnally prefer the more muscular version, but it has some texture-issues, which I hopefully will solve in the future. The slim version is nearly identical to the E3 version (shape and texture), you can see that if you compare the screenshots with the wallpaper. So I think for now, the slim version is the best
alright then. i'll keep using the slim version. really like it & glad you say its closer to E3. looking forward to your future updates for the berserk version & archgriffin retexture.
I know this is inappropriate to ask this here but, it seems like you can edit models in game with last screenshot of yours. I was wondering this:
I'm afraid of spiders and because of that I'm missing lots of side-quests. Now here's the noob part: imagine this is a in-game code; model=incave=spider can you make this like model=incave=wolf sort of thing? I want all spiders (including arachas) turn into wolves or something else, if anything else can you at least edit their models? I posted a thread on forum but no one cared actually. (https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5885843-mod-request-anachrophobia-friendly-no-spiders/)
Your mod is great btw, textures seems weird but modelly it looks dope.
Interesting question. It should be possible, but that would take a lot of time. And I don't have this time. Plus: there will be a lot of prblems to solve: If you edit the models and exchange it with wolves, that would mean that there will be issues with the bones. If you chnage the bones too, chances are high, that it won't work properly. If you change it via the w2ent files, it could work, but I'm not sure. Like for cutscenes etc. I think this is maybe pretty hard to achieve.... Sorry man, I feel your pain But maybe try it yourself. Use Modeditor and try to change the arach-files with the wolves. Maybe it works.
And thanks for the compliment. Yeah, the textures aren't perfect, but I will rework them eventually. For now I am close to finishing the alternative version and the textures there will look better (hopefully). ^^
