Due to general lack of interest and poor reception mod has been discontinued.

Had this mod for a while but just now got around to trying the new content. It's truly a hidden gem, good job!

Downloaded, ran script merger and played. Even though I've got around 20 mods, script merger managed to sort all conflicts automatically, so no problem for me there.

Everything I've found to test both looked good and played as the descriptions stated. All bombs tested so far worked, although the shrapnel bomb didn't stop a cockatrice flying... pretty darned sure I hit it twice. It did seem to work on harpies, though I normally just hit them with igni or aard. I've yet to find a slyzard, griffin or forktail to try it on. The glue bomb is fantastic... used it to good effect in 'Extreme Cosplay'. The sword was quite something, too!

I can wear all the gear no problem.

I think I've crafted everything I can from the mod, so that all works well.

Throwing knives are great. The traps work fine (Used them in 'Extreme Cosplay' too. I set a few around the statues before they came to life... booms and bangs everywhere... ha ha!). It didn't kill them but knocked a bit of health off and was fun to watch.

If you don't want to try the mod for any of that fun, get it because of all the new potion recipes. I have 2 other mods that add a few recipes but with this mod, I could imbibe 4 decoctions without wearing manticore gear. With manticore, I could knock back swallow and tawny owl at the same time.

I haven't tried the 'special potions' yet. I'm going to do 'Extreme Cosplay' again and use them then.

Victoria makes for a great follower IMO. All her dialogue options worked for me. Being able to access the stash through her dialogue is a great touch. As others have said, she's not very effective against monsters but does serve as a good distraction. She won't walk through water but that's no great shakes.

I loved just being able to get into the place... it always frustrated me that I couldn't.

The only thing I couldn't make full use of was the 1st person mod, because I play with a gamepad and it makes the B button on the pad the one that switches it on and off. It also makes manually drawing either sword control some functions of the 1st person mod, so Geralt can't manually draw weapons. I'll see if I can find a workaround for that, but in the meantime, I removed it so that I could check out everything else.

I've yet to attempt stealth mode too, because of the gamepad. Will give it a go and see.

    Great work!

Endorsed a thousand times over! (well, only once, but you know what I mean).

I'll be honest, I left this until I'd killed Detlaff on NG+ in case it wrecked my save, but it has not adversely affected anything that I can see. It's staying in my Witcher 3 mods permanently now and I look forward to playing a new game with this mod active so that I can get full use of all it has to offer.

All testing done at level 100 on NG+ version 1.32 (Steam)

Edit: did the 'Portrait of a witcher' quest in Toussaint that I'd missed. The griffin was definitely hit by the shrapnel bomb. It tried to fly once but immediately landed again and engaged in combat on the ground for the rest of the fight. Maybe I didn't hit that damned cockatrice after all!

Just a quick note about something that may be an issue with the mod.

I decided to see how Victoria handled combat in boats off Skellige. She basically seemed to prevent the swooping attacks of sirens until she fell off the boat. She then disappeared and only reappeared when Geralt got back to dry land. That was amusing nothing more.

The issue this raised was that when I dived into the water with lightning reflexes perk active (all 3 points) instead of the sirens being slowed by 45% they were very much speeded up when aiming the crossbow, as if the perk was giving a negative bonus. Geralt couldn't even turn fast enough to track them when circling.

I know that the perk was working fine just prior to installing the mod because I used it in Toussaint when diving for treasure.

I have no mods that affect perks or crossbows, save for the euphoria fix which I've had for ages and I've not had this happen before.

Could this be edited by the mod?

I've tried reloading a save and also removing and re-applying the perk with the same result... insanely fast enemies when aiming the crossbow. It's exciting but I'd rather do without it. Even without the perk in a slot, they are still faster than normal when aiming the crossbow.

P.S. the Raven Armour would be nice if it handled NG+. The sword I got was level 98 (I was level 100), so that's fine, but the raven armour comes in at level 30 something, so for players downloading the mod on NG+, being around level 50 to 60 when they get to this part of Velen, the armour isn't really useful, which is a damned shame because there are so few light armours in the game. At level 100, the armour is nearly 300 down on my Legendary Grandmaster Wolven in terms of armour rating. Oh and vitality +7? Seems awfully low. The other stats are fine. I also very much like the look of it!

I don't really touch any of the perks so i'm not sure why would mod cause such behavior.

    Hi.

I haven't downloaded this yet but fully intend to.

I just found a video about it by pure fluke. I'm half way through NG+ at the moment and just popped into Devil's Pit in between Skellige quests. I got curious enough about if I could get into the caverns below, to google the matter... hey presto! up comes your trailer.

I wonder if it hasn't got the attention it deserves because it's filed on Nexus under the 'Overhaul' category?

I, for one, have checked the 'Quests' category every now and then, only to be disappointed. If I'd seen this mod there, I'd have been sure to try it much earlier. I can't even remember if I've ever checked out this category until today!

I'm going to applaud and thank you for making a mod like this, even before I've tried it. I'll post again in a couple of weeks' time, once I've played it.

It didn't get any attention because it doesn't circulate in the media/youtube because it's too big and too cumbersome for any mod reviewer to actually attempt installing and reviewing it.

Overhaul is most appropriate section for the mod as of its current state as it frankly overhauls both devils pit with new content and the game itself with new mechanics like sneaking, companion NPC and throwing knives.

As of current version there is no quest whatsoever and there won't be any new versions, so yeah - it stays as an overhaul.

I just wanted to add another voice to this - I applaud you, and I heartily embrace this mod; I'll uninstall whatever mods I have to if I encounter collisions. This is unique, imho. I just didn't realize it was here. Keepin your appreciation link handy as well - payday's coming up. Cheers.

I appreciate your comment but before you make any decisions you should really play the mod and be sure you like it.
And even at that point if you were decided on donating i'd rather appreciate if you could tell your friends who still might be playing Witcher 3 on PC that this mod exists.

It's just hard to pierce through with big mods in this game since they're not handy to use, especially with other mods.

well something strange happens , when i activate sneaking mode , he doesnt move the way he does in the video like sneaking , instead he just put his hand behind his back as if he is tied up , if i draw the sword he puts 1 hand behind his back as if one hand is tied up

then bundle parts of the mod haven't been installed correctly or you have another mod that modifies same file and it's loaded after DP.

I would they both break each other xD tried to resolve the conflict but each time I find another new script error , it's just impossible either this mod or the other must be updated somehow to make both work or we just have to use or the other xD
