When using the custom camera, when you run to the side, the camera does not change direction. But the vanilla camera turns. Can you fix this? Without this feature, it is very inconvenient to play with the custom camera..
Thank god, this works with version 1.32 and effectively enables Next-Gen version's close cam setting. I was annoyed when I remembered that non-Next-Gen had a distant camera for outdoors exploration, it doesn't let you focus on the details around you, it's not atmospheric.
Mod support for the non-Next-Gen version is essential because I can run the "Next-Gen" patch at Low settings and very unstable 50 FPS, but I can run the normal version at Ultra and a solid 60 FPS, and it obviously looks way better. I assume CDProjektRed did their job optimizing the regular TW3, then with the Next-Gen patch threw all their optimization work out the window and didn't even bother doing it again, because there's no other explanation for the game running at a TENTH of the framerate of the original, same graphic settings. I upgraded my CPU and GPU and the game's version, and IT RAN AND LOOKED WORSE.
I completely agree 1.32 is still my go to version for this game, even tho my rig allows me to achieve 60 fps on next gen even with ray tracing (not in novigrad and other cities, idk what nasa technology you need to get stable 60 fps there), but i can't stand the shadow flicker and other issues with next gen, and for my taste modded 1.32 looks better than next gen, i don't really like the look of rt either, some places are too bright etc.
Not only is this a great camera mod, but as well for those who might stumble upon this masterpiece, it allows you to TOGGLE WALKING on a controller (it does not disable anything!), and you can even adjust it, and it does not disable jogging/run like some other mods.
And camera angles/distance are adjustable via menu in game, had zero trouble with it!
Spent a good while looking for something like this, you are a hero bratan!
Dude! This is a great mod! You are a very cool guy! This is the only mod that works completely correctly with v1.31 and a gamepad In other mods, when you turn on running or dialogue, the camera returns to the standard value, but your mod works as it should!
But there is one bug (I wrote about it in the "bug report" tab)
Im using this mod with 1.31, it works fine and im loving it. But can you tell me how i can adjust the camera? Geralts back is covering my whole screen when running but i cant find the menu shown in the second screenshot
If this helps you or anyone else: Under Options, go down to "Mods" and then into the Toggle Custom Cam menu. Set "Distance to Cam" to a higher number than 1, I recommend something like 3.5 and set the "left/right" 0.3 to right. That and follow the instructions, but instead of IK_Pad_LeftThumb=(Action=CustomCamToggle) use IK_Pad_LeftThumb=(Action=CustomCamToggle,State=Duration,IdleTime=0.2). That way, you can hold down the left stick to toggle.
Yes this works but I almost regret it , Geralt is through most of screen , camera should be a bit on side and a bit higher. But OK I apreciate this is only one working camera mod on nexus.

You have some other mod whose files are conflicting with this mod. Use script merger to merge those files and it should work. Just saw the date of the post. Sorry if it's irrelevant now. ?
