Wild Hunt Re-Engaged V5.1 now released (18 Aug)

I have Wiedzmin Lighting Preset to V5.1 to work with newly update Wiedzmin Lighting V7.5

    Changes:

    STLM Version- No changes
Wiedzmin Lighting Version- Adjusted colors/brightness/contrast/disabled FXAA to be used with Wiedzmin V7.5

I have also now included Adaptive, Traditional and ReShade 2.0 versions into one file. You only need to install one version. Adaptive adjusts automatically based on your location and needs the mod DifferentSFX. Traditional is one preset that applies to every area of the game. ReShade 2.0 has presets for each location but, doesn't use DifferentSFX to automatically switch presets.

Note: This uses ReShade 1.1 because DifferentSFX doesn't work with ReShade 3.0.

Please see install video on DESC page under Install Steps to see how to install. Video has been updated as of V5.0.

Thanks to Mondello90 for testing this for me prior to release.

For those that want a way to launch both DifferentSFX.exe and your Witcher3.exe with one click and have the DifferentSFX close down when you exit out of Witcher 3 feel free to use this BAT/exe file. Works great

Hey firemanaf, just a heads up that Wiedzmin Lighting apparently has its "final" update coming any day now. The page has been hidden for a couple of days already as the finishing touches are being applied for this grand finale.

Will it actually be the "final" update this time, or is there even more to come after? Who knows. I just figured that based on what the guy's saying, if you were waiting for some final version of WLM to be released before updating Re-Engaged again then I'd say this is it. But I know it's been a while since you entered the world of The Witcher.

    So...

Could it be time to strap on those old Witcher spurs once again? Whaddaya say?

Yeah, I started work on updating re-engaged for V XI but, then I heard he was working on V XII which should be the final. At least according to him on the discord channel I'm in with him. So, I haulted my update till he is done. I will start back up once new version is released. Well, unless if it's this weekend cause I'm out of town.

Here are some shots I took when working on the update. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmfaDm5p

Looks like damn promising work so far. Almost photorealistic. The look of vegetation with WLM sure has come a long way since WLM version 7 or whatever it was that we were trying to improve upon ages ago.

Thank you. Yeah it was V7 I believe which was the version I used to make the current version of Re Engaged.

Do I need a mod like Lullaby Lighting/Clear Lighting in Toussaint for Toussaint with this reshade? I am using the STLM version.

No. I made the Toussaint preset with no lighting changes. You can try it though. May look ok.

    Using the Adaptive with STLM(3.2).
The only word in my mind is: Glorious.
Thank you for sharing your reshade preset.

Now with NVT on SSE and this on Witcher, man.. you are seriously my hero.

So, just out of curiosity, this reshade mod (traditional version) can't be installed with the latest version of Reshade (I think it's 3.1 right now)? It has to be the old 1.1 version?

Correct. The shaders are a different format. But, reshade 1.1 is included in this file.

    Hello firemanaf,
I just wanted to say that the current version of your reshade is the best one to date. I absolutely LOVE it!
I am curious about your current mod list for visuals though? There are some new and great mods out there that coud greatly improve the visuals of Witcher 3 like Beautiful Grass and Beautiful Rocks.

Thank you. Glad to hear it. Are you using the wiedzmin version? If so are you using it with the newest version of Weidzmin Lighting?

I am using STLM personally. I don't like WLM that much and prefer blue colors

Sorry for my English, I do not speak the language.

Well, I do not know where to ask since the STLM site is open to comments. When I put the STLM, in the dawns and on some nights you see a very, very bright fog, which I doubt very much that is the intention of the mod. It happens to me in skellige.

is that the mod, is that fog normal?

      Thank you

If it's only some nights it could be that particular weather for STLM. Not sure to be honest. I haven't played it much either lately to even say if I have that issue or not.

I will only say this once. If anyone is looking for a ReShade/SFX preset here, they should stop looking immediately. You have found it. The Dynamic version of the ReShade is so amazing, it could beat any other ReShade you pit against it. And that's BECAUSE it is dynamic. When you are in Skellige. you get a graylike picture, as though a dull forest forever in Autumn. Kaer Morhen has a rustic feel. It feels like a castle, and an old one. No bright colours here. Novigrad, on the other hand, is bursting with colour, bright stalls, dark yet bright wood in buildings. The forest greens are the opposite of Skellige - Bright.
And what is the cost of this dynamic masterpiece? Just follow 1 YouTube tutorial to set up, and start an application every time you run the game. Seriously. Whoever doesn't try this out is missing out.
And to the author, thank you.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm happy to hear you are enjoying this. I love the adaptive version as well as it gives a while new experience each location.

Question, are you using Weidzmin or STLM? I have not tried this with the new version of Weidzmin Lighting yet.

Agreed. firemanaf is the KING of reshades. I use his reshade for Witcher 3 as well as Skyrim SE. Only thing missing is one for Fallout 4

pls adjust the preset to the new wiedzmin X . The Reshade doesnt look that good with the new version. it kinda just makes everything more greyish and it looks better turned off than on. Reshade looked amazing on older version though

I do need to work on it. But, just need the time. I am moving next month for work so have a lot going on. I am trying to finish the class I am in for College before the move plus, still working. I am also been waiting to make sure Wiedzmin is done being updated cause I was releasing updates for it then he would change the look in the next update. So, I kind of got tired of it. When I get some time I will work on it though. Sorry for the troubles.
