Wild Hunt Re-Engaged V5.1 now released (18 Aug)

I have Wiedzmin Lighting Preset to V5.1 to work with newly update Wiedzmin Lighting V7.5

    Changes:

    STLM Version- No changes
Wiedzmin Lighting Version- Adjusted colors/brightness/contrast/disabled FXAA to be used with Wiedzmin V7.5

I have also now included Adaptive, Traditional and ReShade 2.0 versions into one file. You only need to install one version. Adaptive adjusts automatically based on your location and needs the mod DifferentSFX. Traditional is one preset that applies to every area of the game. ReShade 2.0 has presets for each location but, doesn't use DifferentSFX to automatically switch presets.

Note: This uses ReShade 1.1 because DifferentSFX doesn't work with ReShade 3.0.

Please see install video on DESC page under Install Steps to see how to install. Video has been updated as of V5.0.

Thanks to Mondello90 for testing this for me prior to release.

For those that want a way to launch both DifferentSFX.exe and your Witcher3.exe with one click and have the DifferentSFX close down when you exit out of Witcher 3 feel free to use this BAT/exe file. Works great

Oh gosh! You did this for Skyrim as well? I currently use your Re-Engaged Vivid Weathers version for skyrim and it's great... I feel I now have no choice but to use this!

But.. are the 4.3 versions simply for Vanilla and don't require a lighting mod?

Do you have plans to support Phoenix Lighting mod which has superseded Wiedzmin I believe.

Lol, yeah my Skyrim Re Engaged was initially based off this.

You should be able to use pheonix, it may not be fully as intended like when using WLM but, should be ok.

      The author of phoenix mentioned.

"i used Re Engaged a lot in the past but they colors are prob a bit off / its not looking as good as it should be because its adjusted to older versions. you can still use it with not real problems. but i cant promise it will look like in firemans screenshots"

so sounds like it might not look as intended?

Right. This was made with Wiedzmin Lighting Mod. He has since released Pheonix lighting mod and I have not had a chance to update for it. But it shouldn't look way off.

Do you suggest using this with Phoenix, or your other vanilla reashade mod? Phoenix also has a "green" version and "yellow" version now... Any idea what would be the more suitable version for your current re-shade? Do you intend to create a version for Phoenix?

I am considering STLM though comparing the two versions you present here, Wiedzmin's looks more dark and vivid with a larger distinction between areas... STLM looks pretty bright, happy and samey. Is that accurate? Maybe this would help?? https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2420?tab=description

I like STLM. It's not a bad weather mod. As far as pheonix, I have not got to try out the new versions so, it is hard to say. I dont have time to update now unfortunately due to family, work and school. This time of year is always hectic.

Thanks. Do you use your reshade STML with the custom clouds and weather add on? Is it recommended?

Lastly, as it all good with the darker/foggier novigrad STML version

You can use the clouds add on weather. As far as preference, you are going to have to try out and see what you prefer. Its been a while since I have played with STLM. I am just not working on this at the moment.

Ok. Last question for now I hope! Are the hotkeys different in the 2.0 version? As I've installed 2.03f shader version. and it installed fine, I can see the information for Shader on the upper left when I start the game.. I then have copied your mod into the reshade directory of Shader 2.0 and replaced all, and have selected/saved/confirmed a preset. Yet the F keys do not toggle anything on or off. F11 pauses the game, F12 takes a screen shot... shift F2 also doesn't do anything. There is also no SweetFX file in 2.0 to manually adjust the settings that I can see.

      Edit:

I am seeing a global.cfg in the default profile directory that shows F10 should toggle on/of shader effects... does this need to be in the witcher 3 profile dir or am I missing a step?

      Hi fire,

Can you help with this? I can't seem to find the hotkey(s) to bring up the menu and/or disable/enable effects with reshade 2.0

I truly hope if you have a chance to return to the re-shade scene one day you'd consider a preset for the upcoming Atmospheric Lighting mod and the upcoming lighting mod that will release next month that is based off STWLM "which was a combo of STLM and WLM" Both look amazing but have no preset shaders designed for them

Nope, everything is included in the file. This is built off reshade 1.1.

    Hi!
So I have everything installed, but the f10 hotkey doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm having a hard time telling if everything is working properly. DifferentSFX does load the presets for each area but I'm just trying to compare how it looks without and with the mod. Thank you for any suggestions.

my dxi file already had that name so i changed it to d3d11 just to see and that didn't do anything either. Not really sure what to do here.

EDIT: Did a clean install of everything. Now it's working. The STLM is the darker one right? XD

Hmm, after a lot of troubleshooting I found that it was the d3d11.dll from your mod which makes all controller input not work after installing this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2116
Does this mean there's no way to have your mod and the other one work at the same time? (I found it strange because the other mod is only about input)

Try renaming d3d11.dll to dxgi.dll and see if helps. Not really sure what the issue you are having is.

A update for the newest version of ReShade will be very good. I know this is hard, and need a lot of work, but this mod here it's the best ReShade I can find. I use Re-Engaged in both: Skyrim SE and TW3, it's amazing.

I would love too but, need time. I have been traveling for work a lot (gone again next week) and then I need to start studying for promotion test for work. If I can find the time I for sure will. But, i hear the preset works pretty good with the newest WLM.

Edit. Oh wait. Got ahead of myself you mean to reshade 3.0+. That wont happen because differentsfx works with reshade 1.1. So it wouldnt grt presets to switch based on location. Plus 1.1 performs just fine. Granted there is no in game menu but doesnt take away from the look.

Hey man, sorry for bothering you again but; How can I manually change the options of the ReShade? The hotkeys are not working for me (just the SMAA one). Is in exaclty what folders? McFX.cfg?

Not in front of PC to give lines for you but, open location preset folder and open sweetfx config file for each location and you can make changes there. Also, I cant check to remind myself but, last version I combined effects under the one hotkey. F10 I believe. No longer does each effect have there own key.

Just to add: An update for the new Phoenix it will be awesome! The preset for WLM works pretty good indeed, but as that preset is not make for Phoenix exclusively, some things are a bit out of place. But, if you find a time to update, will be pretty cool!

You cant install reshades with the nmm. you have to install manually as per the authors instructions. with all of the witcher games tbh its easier to just install all mods manually. its not as complicated as with some games as you dont have to worry about load order.

WLM has folders that go both into the DLC and mods folder. NMM cant do that and hence why we have to manually install it.

I tried before but, it didn't look exactly the same. I probably could get it pretty close if I took some time but, just dont have that time right now unfortunately. Very busy with work.
