About this mod
It is a well-known fact that Euphoria is the best/strongest mutation. The time has come to make Bloodbath a tad more competitive.

v1.2 for game v1.30*
*Note that I have not updated my game to 1.30 yet as I'm waiting for CDPR to fix the modKit first. I have merely downloaded the 1.30 version of playerwitcher.ws and used it to update this mod, but could not test it. If you encounter any issues, leave a message and I'll try to address them.
Premise:
If you've been looking around for post-B&W character builds, you will have noticed their common denominator: the Euphoria mutation—and with good reason: Euphoria is clearly the best for pretty much any build.
After a while I've grown tired of Euphoria builds, though; not because they aren't good, but because it felt like Euphoria was absolutely mandatory or your build would suck. I felt the need for variety without sacrificing too much in the way of power, so I picked my second-favorite mutation—Bloodbath—and decided to make it more competitive.
What it does:
I had prepared a fancy table but for some reason my BBCODE won't display, so here's the next best thing:
- Euphoria: Grants a bonus equal to 0.75% of your current Toxicity to both Sign Intensity and Attack Power [4 decoction + 1 potion = 230%]
- Bloodbath: Grants a bonus that only applies to Attack Power, up to a maximum of 250%
- Solution: Increase the maximum bonus provided by Bloodbath from 250% to 300% to make up for the lack of sign intensity boost
- Euphoria: Provides an immediate bonus upon increasing your Toxicity score
- Bloodbath: Requires you to build up your bonus by landing hits (5% per hit up to 250% after 50 hits)
- Solution: Make Bloodbath's bonus build up quicker (10% per hit up to 300% after 30 hits)
- Euphoria: Bonus lasts for as long as Toxicity lasts, regardless of whether you're hit in combat
- Bloodbath: Bonus is lost when hit in combat, forcing you to build it up from scratch again
- Solution: Prevent Bloodbath's bonus from being lost upon taking damage
Installation:
Simply download the archive and unzip it in your Witcher 3/Mods folder.
If you don't have one, create it.
Compatibility:
This mod was built using 1.22 files and was tested extensively with 1.24.
To prevent Bloodbath from losing its bonus upon taking damage I had to comment out a few lines from playerwitcher.ws, a file touched upon by several other mods. It should be possible/fairly easy to merge them using AnotherSymbiote's excellent Script Merger.
Known issues:
Bloodbath's description still incorrectly states that your bonus is lost if you take damage, even though it is no longer true once the mod is installed.
Note:
The screenshot I'm using as a cover picture for this mod/page was taken from a game modded with KNG's More Blood and ramccoid's Blood, both excellent mods I recommend.
Bloodbath Rebalance does not alter the amount of blood spilled by your enemies or the quality thereof.
