Achieving Perfection
This will be long but I bet you it's interesting:I doubt most people will care to the same extent, but I've been trying since 2017 to recreate the combat as described in the books when Ciri is being taught at Kaer Morhen, or when Geralt takes out a group of scoundrels. The main problem for me is precise control and positioning, within a combat system that is very complex in it's design and the way it interacts with all the other game systems, based on timers and proximities etc.. This is why installing multiple mods can be painful and might need to be merged manually. I have 177 installed at current. I use a keyboard and mouse, using both directional keys and the mouse camera position to move Geralt around and make shot selections. To do this accurately you need a dodge mod that has a forward dodge, not one that just flips Geralt to the side and does a back dodge - that is not useful for positioning. You also need to understand and set up mods like Enhanced Targeting and Combat Stance properly. I'll do a settings video next. Using forward dodge plus directional keys you can easily flank opponents and with enhanced targeting mod you can be fairly certain which opponent Geralt is going to engage because you control it by pressing the directional keys as you attack and fine tuning it with the mouse position. Shot selection is much more accurate this way.You also need to read mod descriptions carefully and practice... Lots of practice. Spawn 2xdrowners and just dodge them until you have a good feeling for the animations. Then start with attacks. Remember Long range attacks can be selected by pressing sprint + directional key + attack.Combat & Animation mods:Enhanced TargetingCombat StanceBetter ParriesLegendary Countere3 Improved Combat Animations (Replaced now by e3ECA on Nexus)More reasonable combat animations (modifies long range light attack only)Immersive CamCombat Speed ModI also installed School of the Dodge ("dodge like witcher" version - the only one with a DLC file, I think), then added the VGX Sword Walking file (with higher load order), which cancels out School of the Dodge's animations, but keeps the underlying fixes it makes to how dodging works. Very directable, flanks opponents when dodging forward + left/right, does little side steps depending on proximity, but mostly uses vanilla animations now, which I prefer. I also added in the Swordplay file from e3 Dodge (highest load order), which cancelled out the Sword Walking animations, but keeps the dodging the same. Combat is super smooth and I don't have any weird animation glitches.Nexus:https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3Game version 1.31 @1080pThanks for watching :)

THE WITCHER 3 WILD HUNT 28 - Another Familiar Friend
Armed with the Knowledge that we must find and talk to Dandelion, Geralt head's off to the Tavern that the Bard has Inherited. As is often the case in this adventure, Geralt does not find the Troubadour, but does re-unite with another familiar face and friend. The two discover some unique information and then Geralt sets off on a lengthy quest to talk to lots of Dandelion's acquaintances where we discover that Dandelion was acting very peculiar prior to his disappearance.
