    Supreme to Extreme updated to V4.1.

    Changes:

    Thanks to user FrustratedMoleRat he pointed out a typo in my settings for texture. I have fixed that.

    Additionally for Grass420 users. I have changed the grass density settings for my settings for

    Supreme- stayed the same at 400 (Recommended by KNGR)
    Ultimate- pushed to 700
    Extreme- pushed to 1000 (which is still lower that low graphic setting)

    Remember using low to high for grass density when using grass420 mod will give more grass then my supreme to extreme setting due to me using my settings to have it at what KNG recommends.

    For all those using the mod HD Reworked by HulkHoganV5.0 when you run his installer for the mod do not select the option "Halks Ultra HD Config". It will overwrite the rendering.xml files from this mod and you will no longer have my settings. If you happen to install his settings just install this again and allow to overwrite his rendering files. Note: You need to select Ultimate or Extreme in the texture setting for best results with his mod.

    Hey I can't get the 420 grass to stop disappearing even with the 420 version of this mod. Is there any way to stop this?

    Hi, firemanaf! With your mod installed, when I change shadow quality, the line "CascadeShadowmapSize" did not present in Documents\user.settings file, but it present and changed in rendering.ini. Is it normal, I dont have that line in user.settings?

      Hmm. It should. I will have to look into it when I get a chance. Lots of traveling out of town for work this month.

      Some of the settings need to already be in your user.settings file for this mod to work. For example, the TextureMipBias setting is -1 by default, and isn't present in your settings file unless you add it in. If the setting is absent, it will be read as -1 no matter what you configure it to with this mod. However, if you add the line TextureMipBias=-2 to your settings file (or any value other than default), then go into your graphics settings and adjust it, it will work with all settings except -1, which will remove TextureMipBias completely from your settings file the next time you boot up the game and render the in-game slider useless.

      It should be noted that this is not the case for all settings, but it's definitely an issue with TextureMipBias.

    Does the Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project work with the graphic mod?

      Yes. But make sure you dont install his graphic settings. It will overwrite mine and then mine wont work. When using mine you can increase the texture quality and then his mod will work just fine.

    I will say this again to the modder of this mod... THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I have learnt more from this mods settings (which i review in the ini file it 'creates or changes'), than any of the tweak tricks on the internet. AGAIN THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    I just wanted to stop by and thank you for creating this mod. It totally eliminates the absolute need to tweak the config personally, because it's just that good. It's quite possibly the most elegantly laid out mod I've used, because it seamlessly blends with the standard UI and of course the results are amazing. Simply put, you're a mod God. Much appreciated, thanks again!

    Just wanted to say thanks for making this mod, I can't imagine now playing Witcher 3 without it. I can put nearly everything at ultimate, and there's not much difference in performance. The increase in NPCs and grass density alone make a huge difference.

    There are a couple of exceptions though. Increasing the vegetation draw distance above ultra hits the framerate fairly strong, and I decreased the shadow map size from 4096 to 3072 (vanilla ultra) in your settings. This mod's increased shadow map size really drags down the framerate, nearly 1/3 which is not worth it IMO. I also changed the MeshLODDistanceScale setting back to "1". Any other value removes facial animations outside cutscenes (eyes/blinking and lips/speech), and the High Quality Faces mod only changes the quality of eyeballs, which is not worth loosing facial animations over IMO.

    Anyways, great mod - thanks!

    Hi firemanaf! I was wondering, if it's possible to tweak the NPC visibility distance the same way you do with foliage and trees? It always bothered me to see people materialize out of thin air in like 100 meters before me. Especially it's unpleasant when viewing Beauclair out of the lower levels of the castle - perfect sight of the streets, but nobody on them.

    Do you think it's possible to do?

      I tried to do that but, I don't think its possible with the engine. I tried also do that with other things like building quality changing as you get closer too.

      Yep, it's definitely hard-coded into the game. Increased Draw Distance mod helps for various objects though. There is also an Improved LOD mod in the making, which aims to remove low resolution distance textures on structures like walls, bridges, houses etc. That would really improve things, but it's a big project - and time will tell if they actually are able to finish this mod.

    My only regret is that I didn't install this mod sooner! I had been editing my config file and getting mixed results with some performance issues, but after installing this mod I'm able to push up nearly all the settings and still get 60fps no problems. Being able to see the impact of any changes immediately is awesome. Absolutely essential mod!

      I feel you. I did the same for a long time and would get the graphics menu to always be stuck showing "low" because of ini changes. Figured I would so something to easily adjust. So, I am glad you like it.

    (tl;dr: want to have fps limit to 75, 90, 120, etc... How to do it?)

    Hey,
    Nice job.
    The only more thing i'd like to change is the fps limit, which you didnt change.
    I tried changing the .xml file, but the in game, due to the lack of strings changes, its fvcked up.

    Could you make a small edit to it or explain to me how i should do it properly?

      One the bin/config/r4game/user_config_matrix/pc/rendering.xml and paste

      <Option id="3" displayName="framerate_limit_75">
      <Entry overrideGroup="Engine" varId="LimitFPS" value="75"/>
      </Option>
      <Option id="4" displayName="framerate_limit_90">
      <Entry overrideGroup="Engine" varId="LimitFPS" value="90"/>
      </Option>
      <Option id="5" displayName="framerate_limit_120">
      <Entry overrideGroup="Engine" varId="LimitFPS" value="120"/>
      </Option>

      Directly under the these lines
      <Option id="2" displayName="framerate_limit_60">
      <Entry overrideGroup="Engine" varId="LimitFPS" value="60"/>
      </Option>

      That is because my main file has the localization fix for my settings and their names. Lines are being added with values that are typically not in that file. YOu can try this mod to see if helps https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/897
