This mod changes a pet peeve of mine: the environment definition for the sewers in Novigrad has "cinematic" and "filmic" in its name, yet it has none of those qualities, it has raised black levels and washed out colors. This mod aims to change that, making it look better for OLED screens and people who use HDR. This mod is best paired with Ray Tracing enabled, Morgue Lights Fix, No Artificial Player Light, Cozy RTX Fires. Check out the screenshots for comparisons, there are Before/After/After with RT so you can see the differences.
Do I still need this if I play with Ray Tracing on? Yes, Ray Tracing can alleviate some of these issues, but it doesn't fix the lighting entirely, as you will still face forced raised black levels and washed out colors.
Features:
Corrected black levels so that the game can achieve true black on OLED screens;
Improved colors so it looks less washed out and better colors for HDR screens;
Added new environment areas for portions of the sewers that were missing;
Improved harsh environment area transitions for less drastic transitions;
Fixed some areas where occlusion is broken and lighting could bleed through;
Added new torches to the arena and turned on torches in other areas;
Added missing interior camera to the Morgue;
Tweaked some quest-specific lights for better gameplay.
