About this mod
A rework of Quen's shield for Basic shield, Active Shield and Discharge mechanics, introducing a more dynamic scaling with Player's HP and Sign Intensity, and a more meaningful interaction with Place of Power buffs.

Shield Health
- Both Basic shield and active shield health are based on player's max hp and scales with player's sign intensity.
- Buffs or potions that increases max hp and sign intensity (Full Moon, Petri's Philter, Quen Place of Power, etc.) will increase shield health.
Basic Shield
- Absorbs only 70% of incoming damage, scales with sign intensity.
- Shield duration scales with sign intensity.
- When having quen place of power buff, basic shield absorbs 100% of incoming damage.
Note: You may notice your shield charge takes a bit more damage (depletes a bit faster) when having place of power buff as your shield is now absorbing 100% of incoming damage. so, it's a tradeoff between full protection and shield longevity.
- No longer heals the player by default.
- Absorbs 100% of incoming damage.
- Drains 40% less stamina at level 2, 80% at level 3.
- When having quen place of power buff, active shield absorbs 10% less of incoming damage and heals the player proportionately, scales with sign intensity.
Note: When having place of power buff, your active shield will noticeably take more longer to break as it's taking less of incoming damage and heals the player with it instead.
Quen Discharge
- Discharge percentages are still on vanilla values (10% at level 1 up to 30% at level 3).
- Discharge damage decreases shield health damage on both basic shield and active shield as it reflects the damage to the attacker instead of absorbing it.
Example with bear school 6pc set with active place of power buff:
Basic Shield health = 2000
Incoming Damage = 1000
Player health damage = 0 (Place of power buff 100% health damage reduction)
Discharge Damage at 90% (level 3 quen discharge with bear school 6pc set effect) = 900
Shield Damage Reduction (Capped at 50%) = 450
Shield Damage = 550
Basic Shield health after hit = 1450
- DoT damage to shield (Debuff damages your basic shield overtime, debuffs damage and timer is paused while active shield is channeling)

Installation and Compatibility.
- Drop the included mod folder into your Mods/ directory.
- Use Script Merger if needed to resolve conflicts.
- Compatible with other shrine buff mod such as: Buff Charges at The Witcher 3 Nexus - Mods and community.
- Compatible with other quen sign cosmetic mod.
- Compatible with other damage overhaul mod as long as this mod is given higher priority. i.e. Balanced Damage and Scaling at The Witcher 3 Nexus - Mods and community.
