About this mod
A rework of Quen's shield mechanics for both Basic Quen Shield and Active Shield, the goal of this mod is to introduce a more dynamic scaling with Sign Intensity compared to vanilla and a more meaningful interaction with Place of Power buffs.

- Both Basic Quen Shield and Quen Active Shield is now based on a portion of player's Max HP and scales with Sign Intensity.
- Potions/Buffs like Full moon that increases Player Max HP also increases Shield Health and scales with any Sign Intensity buffs (i.e. Petri's Philter).
- Absorbs 70% of incoming damage.
- The remaining 30% bypasses the shield and hits the player. (Reduces with Sign Intensity)
- Shield Duration scales with Sign Intensity.
- With Quen Place of Power Buff: Basic Quen Shield will absorb 100% of incoming damage like in vanilla.
NOTE: You may notice your basic shield charge depletes faster when you have a Quen Place of power Buff, as it now fully absorbing all of the incoming damage, so it's a tradeoff between full protection and shield longevity.
- No longer heals the player by default.
- Absorbs 100% of all damage.
- With Quen Place of Power Buff: Active Shield will absorb 90% of incoming damage, 10% of incoming damage will heal the player (Increases with Sign Intensity)
NOTE: Your active shield will become noticeably more durable when you have a Quen Place of power Buff, as it now absorbing less incoming damage because a portion of it heals the player instead.
All other shield interactions remain as in vanilla:
- DoT damage to shield
- Discharge mechanics
- Skill attributes and perks
- Visuals, UI Texts and general Quen behavior
Installation and Compatibility:
Drop the included mod folder into your Mods/ directory.
Use Script Merger if needed to resolve conflicts.
Compatible with both vanilla timer shrine buff and other modded charge shrine buff mechanics.

Compatible with any Quen Sign cosmetic mods.
Compatible with damage overhaul mods as long as this mod is given higher priority.
