Further improves upon fixes made by QuietusPlus in his excellent EMC mod, combined with stuff from Complete Equipment Overhaul by Kindo and my own updates.

Intro

This is an overhaul of various aspects in Witcher 2. Same as with my The Witcher mod, wanted to replay an old game, now with mods, was unsatisfied some - and started to fix and update things. And here's the result which i like. Mod is based on two excellent foundations: Enhanced Mod Compliation by QuietiusPlus and Complete Equipment Overhaul by Kindo.


Changes (with names of changed files)

Many of them were derived from Enhanced Mod Compliation by QuietiusPlus.

1. Display level 2 descriptions and mutagens slots on unacquired abilities/talents. Tagged items. Removed intro videos.
Vergen glowing grass fix -- all those QuietiusPlus fixes.

2. Will no longer perform finishers unless target is last enemy.

3. Added respec potion to Mysterious merchant. Fixed sell prices to 1/5 instead of 1/25. Added tooltip
to Pontar moonshine, which is a new crafting ingredient that is sold at inns and is only ingredient that provides aether.
Removed aether and/or changed it to sol in all other ingredients. Same as in The Witcher and Witcher 3,
Geralt now needs to use alcohol for his alchemy. This covers oil and potions -- for bombs Geralt needs fulgur as one
of basic substances, which is provided in form of Saltpeter (new ingredient) at trap merchants.

4. Dead bodies stay for 5 mins.

5. Better combat focus (easier to switch targets), no dark effect if set is full, extra 9 talents at level 2 to get
rid of stupid training tree, faster medalion delay, DLC items at Mysterious merchant and Bras, increased level cap to 50.

6. Added mutagen upgrade recipes, 3 lesser upgrade to 1 normal and 3 normals - to greater. Mysterious Merchant sells them.
Adjusted whetstone price at Mysterious Merchant. Added Ardeneye, Mooonblade, D'yeabl and Gwalchir to his store in Act I.

7. Added icons for new recipes, Pontar moonshine and Saltpeter.

8. Item weights were unchanged from EMC stock version

10. Upgraded stats of imported armor (Raven's armor) and weapons. They are very good, best in Act I except Dark items.

11. Updated whetstone stats and oil stats. Oil duration is now 10 minutes with +30% / +100% available via skills.
Same for oil effect: +30% / +100%. Specific oils are 200% better than Falka's Blood (+30% damage instead of +10%).
Whetstone gives +20% to damage for 20 minutes, but its cost has been increased.

12. Geralt's base vitality regen and combat vitality regen changed to 0.1 hp per second. Changed critical effect
damage duration / value. Burn is shortest and damages for maximum per tick, bleed is longest (and least damage),
poison is average. Overall dmg is lowest for burn, same for poison/bleed. Increased Sign cast cooldown to 1 sec.

13. Potion duration is 10 minutes still (with Cat being 5 minutes), but it can be enhanced by relevant skill, again
for +30% / +100% of value. Catalysis (now Taster) effect became +15%/-15% and +50%/-50% for positive/negative effects.

14. Changed stats of all potions. All 17 of them were divided into categories: Special (Cat, Mongoose), Vitality
(Swallow, Gadwall, White Raffard Decoction), Vigor and Vigor Regeneration (Tawny Owl, Lapwing, Maribor Forest),
Critical Effects (Wolf, Brock), Resists and Armor (Golden Oriole, Tiara, Virga), Damage (Rook, Thunderbolt)
and Magic (Petri Philter and Stammelford's Philter). First potion in category (except Special) is simplest one,
has no negative effects and uses 25 Toxicity. Other potions in same category are 3x as strong in one of aspects,
they use 50 Toxicity and have some negative effects which are somewhat opposed to its base positive effects. Now you
have more than 1 way to get any potion effect (except Cat, which remains unique). Added instant kill chance to Wolf
and Brock potions. 2-2-3% and 6-7-9% respectively. Added some extra weight to all 3 Vigor potions (Tawny Owl, Lapwing,
Maribor Forest). Added magic resists to Golden Oriole, Tiara and Virga.

New stats (normal and with Taster I / Taster II) are:
Cat: 12/10/6% damage debuff - along with its base effect.
Mongoose: 20000 / 260000 / 300000% poison resist.

Vitality:
Swallow: 1+1, 2+1, 2+2 (vitality / combat vitality regen) & 7-8-10% Vitality boost
Gadwall: 4+4, 8+4, 8+8 (vitality / combat vitality regen) & 14-16-20% Vitality boost with 20-17-10% damage debuff.     
Raffard: 2+2, 4+2, 4+4 (vitality / combat vitality regen) & 28-32-40% Vitality boost with 20-17-10% damage debuff.     

Vigor:
Tawny Owl: 20-23-30% vigor and combat vigor regen +10-12-15 max weight
Lapwing: 60-70-70(+1 vigor) of vigor and combat vigor regen  with 20-17-10% Vitality debuff & +30-35-45 max weight.
Maribor: +1 Vigor, +1/10%, +2/20% (Vigor / combat Vigor regen) with 40-34-20 all resist debuff & +30-35-45 max weight.

Critical Effects:
Wolf: 2-2-3 instant kill & 4-4-6 stun/freeze/knockdown & 8-9-12 poison/burn/bleed.
Brock: 6-7-9 instant kill & 12-14-18 stun/freeze/knockdown & 24-27-36 poison/burn/bleed with 40-34-20 all resist debuff.

Resists and Armor:
Oriole:    10-12-15 resists + 5-6-8 magic resist & 10-12-15 armor
Tiara:    20-23-30 resists + 10-12-15 magic resist & 40-46-60 armor, with 40-34-20 critical effect chance debuff.
Virga:    40-46-60 resists + 20-23-30 magic resist & 20-23-30 armor, with 40-34-20 critical effect chance debuff.

Damage:
Rook: 10-12-15 extra damage
Thunderbolt: 30-35-45 extra damage with 20-17-10% vitality debuff.

Signs:
Petri:    10-12-15 damage bonus on Signs
Stamm:    +2 Intensity / +2.3 intensity / +3 intensity along with 10-8-5% damage and vitality debuff

15. Changed rune stats.
Sun rune: +1 combat vitality regeneration & 5% stun chance
Moon rune: +5 sign damage & 5% freeze chance
Fire rune: +5% damage & +5% chance to incinerate
Earth rune: damage reduction on block +10% & +0.01 (which is +10% in fact) to combat vigor regeneration
Ysgith rune: +2% chance to instantly kill an enemy & 5% poison chance

16. Integrated new trophies and armor enhancement stats, borrowed from Complete Equipment Overhaul by Kindo,
slightly modified them.

17. Changed a bit some merchant inventories. Main block was borrowed from Complete Equipment Overhaul by Kindo,
but with some modifications. Bras now sells dragon scales in Act III, Mysterious merchant in Act II and
Cory in Act III now sell kayran skin.

18. Adjusted armor stats a bit. Reduced resistances and protection and greatly nerfed vigor
regeneration across the board, as it is applied to base regen, which with further modified by potions / abilities.
Same done for stats of pants, gloves and boots. Main block was borrowed from Complete Equipment Overhaul by Kindo,
but with some modifications.

19. Changed all recipes - they are unique now.

20. Battle Seasoned story ability now properly increases combat vigor regeneration, increased value to 10%.

21. Switched effects of Catalysis and Taster talents. Now improved oils, mutagens and potions are on same level
of Alchemy tree.

22. Added 2 new combined mutagens: Assault (Power + adrenaline) and Energy (Concentration + Range).
Madness mutagen was renamed to Protection mutagen and it no longer adds Sign damage. Recipe was also changed.
Critical effect mutagen (major) now offer instant kill chance, values adjusted.
Concentration mutagen now grant extra resists to magic.

23. Made a pass at swords. Damage reduced by ~25%, sword effects mostly borrowed from CEO. Now they are more balanced
compared to signs - with oil changes and extra talents awarded. Made sure that correct tags are applied to swords'
definitions, as some weapons weren't applying their critical effects due to this oversight.

24. Increased cost of trophies, mage's pants, herbalist's gloves and imported swords.

25. Reduced damage of Dancing Star (fire bomb) so now it is lesser than Dragon's Dream (flammable gas bomb). Increased
Dancing Star burn chance, it is greater than that one of Igni now. Rebalanced damage / effect chance for Samum /
Zerrikanian Sun and Dancing Star / Dragon's Dream. Increased damage of Grapeshot.

26. Increased effect of +armor circle of power, greatly nerfed effect of +vigor regeneration circle of power.

27. Increased effect of Catalysis-2 from +15% dmg & +10% armor to +20% both. Makes branching and using 4 potions
somewhat more useful. Increased Synthesis-1 from 20 to 30 hp. Buffed Magical Lifeforce. Slightly buffed Hardy
and Schemer talents. Igni burn chance from Igni upgrade reduced to 35%.

28. Overhauled critical effects math. It is now additive instead of multiplicative. Chance is added from weapons,
runes, abilities and potions. Note that without base chance (provided by weapon itself) extra crit effect will not work!
You can stack +freeze and +stun any way you like, but if weapon has only +bleed it will be useless.
a. Pyromaniac now flatly increases incineration chance by 5%.
b. Strong Stomach is now addditive.
c. Updated Finesse, Precision and Whirlwind in combat tree.
d. Updated Wolf and Brock potions
e. Resistance to Magic ability (awarded in the bath) is now flat too.

29. Increased limits of poker minigame based on current Act.

30. Halved damage of snares, increased damage of Clawer trap.

32. Now in Prologue Geralr actually loses his active silver sword, embedding it in dragon's maw.

Changelog

Fixed overlapping recipes of Lapwing and Specter OIl.
Fixed wrong description of Saltpeter, it was showing as containing rebis instead of fulgur.


Installation


Dump contents of archive to Witcher2/CookedPC directory, overwrite when prompted. Making backups is suggested.


Compatibility

This mod replaces 3 files: z_emc_data.dzip, base_scripts.dzip, en0.w2strings. Not compatible with anything that changes these files.
