About this mod

My personal mod mash-up used to start a new game without reverting to "beginner gameplay".

Permissions and credits
This is a mash-up of the following mods:
Training skills since level 1
Dark items for all difficulty levels

In summary, it does 4 major things:
  • Training and Alchemy skill trees are both fully developed at level 1.
  • You get 2 talent points every time you level up, instead of 1.
  • You will have the Dark Items in your inventory regardless of your difficulty level.
  • Kill/loot delay and medallion usage delay reduced.

IS THIS MOD FOR YOU?
If you are looking to start a new game but don't want to suffer through low level gameplay, then this mod could be for you. It works as a substitute for NG+ because it allows you to get some of the most gameplay-altering talents, such as reposte, much earlier. It also speeds up the general pacing of character progression (you will be maxed out at level 31), which can be nice the second time around. The dark items are my way of getting some options for good looking armor that stays relevant throughout the game. I personally leave the dark weapons untouched, because otherwise I'd have to commit to a whole armor set in order to avoid the life-drain penalty (and those swords are a little too overpowered anyway). It is also highly recommended to use Hard as the minimum difficulty with this mod, as the game will feel easier overall.

I would also like to recommend the Dynamic HUD, Return of the White WolfWeightless Enhanced Edition and lastly to delete the following files from the CookedPC directory if you have them (ugly armor that auto-equip at times):
  • alchemy_suit.dzip
  • magical_suit.dzip
  • roche_jacket.dzip

REQUIREMENTS
Modding requires that you have Patch 3.4 installed.

INSTALLATION
Just put the modded dzip file in the Witcher2/CookedPC directory and replace the current one. Remember to back-up the original in case you want to uninstall the mod later.
